Favourite C&C: Red Alert 3

With the release of Command & Conquer 4 fast approaching, Big Download have posted a Command & Conquer Retrospective that takes a pictorial look back at the entire Command & Conquer RTS franchise. Starting with the classics of Command & Conquer and Red Alert in the mid 1990's, then Tiberian Sun and Red Alert 2 in 1999/2000, the Generals era of the early 2000's, finally ending with the modern Command & Conquer era of Tiberium Wars in 2007 and Red Alert 3 in 2008.

It only covers the C&C RTS games so Renegade is left out. And while none of them are truly connected, at least universe wise, its still good to get update to date with this retrospective. Click here for more.

It's a pretty good summary of the series.

QUOTE
Bother the Red Alert and Tiberian universes follow, canonically, the events of the Allied campaign. In the Red Alert universe, the Allies place a puppet dictator named Romanov into power, which leads to the events of Red Alert 2. In the Tiberian universe, Kane uses the resources of the now-destroyed Soviet war machine to transform the Brotherhood of Nod from a secret society into a full-fledged terrorist organization. This splitting of universes was to be explained by the third Tiberian game, but it never was.

I thought the idea was that Kane let the USSR die out as their leader and then did some magic and created the Brotherhood from that..?
