  1. Despite receiving an official mod SDK and fan-made tools that are compatible with it, Red Alert 3 got few mods when compared to its predecessors. However, one mod for Red Alert 3 took the spotlight recently - Eastern Loong. Its selling point is the addition of the fourth faction, China, with its own visual identity and techtree. It has its own way of building structures - having them drop from the sky, and the units are fully voiced, albeit in Chinese, since the development team is from China as well. There's even an article on Kotaku about the mod! Check out the mod's ModDB profile page and give it a run.
  2. C&C:Online, the community-run multiplayer server for Command & Conquer games affected by the GameSpy shutdown, marked its third anniversary yesterday! This year alone, around 45,000 people have been playing on the servers, with the number still rising. To celebrate this anniversary, prized tournaments have been announced for the month of July, as well as a hint at a new and more convenient way to launch the games onto the service.
  3. Hello, I am trying to use Red Alert 3 SDK. I use 64 bit. It was crashing I updated the BinaryAssetBuilder to 64 bit ant worked. 4. Over a month ago, the team at GVMERS, who had previously covered the fate of the cancelled FPS Tiberium, created a video on the entire C&C franchise. What you are looking at above is the corrected, definitive version - certain facts about things that happened behind the scenes in Westwood Studios, EA Pacific, EA Los Angeles and Victory Games have been proofread, and each game is now presented in higher detail, in order to better describe what made Command & Conquer what it is, in both its good and bad times. The video is now 10 minutes longer in total, so be sure to check it out!
  5. Back in February, GVMERS posted a video that looked at what happened to the cancelled Tiberium FPS. Today, they have new Command & Conquer video that dives into the entire franchise. The Command & Conquer franchise helped shape the identity of RTS games during the 1990's and would influence the designs of countless similar strategy titles in later years. Even though the franchise ended with a whimper instead of a bang, it managed to create an indelible impact on the history of videogames. Join the team from GVMERS as they take a look at the rise and fall of Command & Conquer.
  6. In this week's Throwback Thursday feature, we look back at one of the Transformers-inspired units from Red Alert 3 - the Mecha/Jet Tengu. In its default state, the Mecha Tengu is a hovering pilot-assisted robot primarily used as an anti-infantry assault unit which can easily be massed. When the skies are not clear, it can turn into a Jet Tengu, a fast anti-aircraft fighter, in a speedy and spectacular transformation sequence. Unlike its Allied and Soviet counterparts, the Jet Tengu does not need to return to an airfield to reload, though it is not as effective as the other two. Remember, you can click on the preview to see a larger and more detailed image. Don't forget to check out the Throwback Thursdays archives if you've missed a week. Check back again next Thursday for another Throwback. Send in your ideas for future instalments. 7. This week's edition of C&C Music Monday is a bit different. Today we feature an actual music video. This is the "Red Alert 3 Remix" released by EA just as Red Alert 3 was launched. It could be one of the best promotional videos ever made. All of the big names from the Red Alert 3 cast appear in this video. Unfortunately the video was never released in HD, but the quality is acceptable. Watch this video and learn something! Don't forget to share this on social media using the hash tags #CnCMusicMonday and #MusicMonday.
  8. The Condition Red: Rise to Power mod for Red Alert 3 has received two updated alpha builds this month, the latest being version 0.12. Both of these updates are more of maintenance builds compared to the first public demo from last year, with several bugs fixed and a simple AI added. Click here to download the latest version of the mod.
  9. Pls note this is completely new tournament and hence a new topic deemed necessary
  10. Is there a pre-release version of Red Alert 3? There, many units were slightly different. Or can I somehow get in touch with at least one of the developers?
  11. So I'd like to start off with: I love this series, It was my introduction to video games at the age of 5. So as a fan of this franchise I play lots of it. I'd like to address my problem with skirmish maps not showing up in the single player skirmish map list (The ones I have installed.) Now I have read posts on this forum about going in to User/username/appdata/roaming/redalert3uprising so on and so forth(yes I enabled show hidden files) And followed the steps there and I cannot figure out what my problem is. At first I thought I had to take the map folder out of its extraction folder (The one that’s empty except for the file containing the map and its various accompanying files.) into the maps folder I had to manually add into the RA3 Uprising. The folder contained only one folder a profiles folder. I've restarted my computer, added just the map files in the map folder, put the un-extracted zip files in the map files in the map folder and then extracted them there. Please note that I have: Windows 10, and The Ultimate Collection version Furthermore The Base game Red Alert 3 likes to prompt me a registration key as the Splash screen shows up before starting the game, then asks to re-confirm the key, except it does it over and over and over again when I click done. The key is already in the box when it asks for it. I don't know if this is a customer service issue or what. I will tell you however; I'm pretty irritated with my ignorance on this issue and not being able to fix it. Please if anyone has any information or help on this please PLEASE help me out here!!!
  12. After a 2 week absence, our regular C&C Music Monday feature is back to kick off the new year. With a slightly refreshed look, as well. This week, the pick is "Red Rock for Mother Russia" from the Red Alert 3 soundtrack. A really hard and heavy mix, this one. One of the signature tracks from Red Alert 3's impressive soundtrack. A new track will be posted next Monday. And as always, don't forget to share this on social media using the hash tags #CnCMusicMonday and #MusicMonday.

  17. For Throwback Thursday this week, we continue with the "Ladies of C&C" series. This time, we feature Gemma Atkinson as Lieutenant Eva McKenna in Red Alert 3 and Uprising. She continued the tradition of the Eva name in C&C games, working as the Allied intelligence officer, and also appeared on Victory/Defeat screens for the Allied faction. As the campaign progresses, she develops an affection for the commander, even getting into a conflict with Tanya over him, and the commander is left with a choice with whom of the two he would rather attend the celebratory date after the war. Remember, you can click on the preview to see a larger and more detailed image. Don't forget to check out the Throwback Thursdays archives if you've missed a week. Check back again next Thursday for another Throwback. Send in your ideas for future instalments. 18. We've already had one cover of the Soviet March track from Red Alert 3 this week, but here's a truly authentic Russian cover of the same track. Performed by real Russians, complete with vodka and a lot of other references I don't understand. Anyway check it out in the video above.
  19. There was no Music Monday today, but we're bringing you a violin cover of the Soviet March from Red Alert 3 played by a Russian fan, Anastasia Soina. She already has many covers on her YouTube channel and SoundCloud profile, where you can also download the audio version of this track. In only 24 hours, the video reached over 27,000 views, which is pretty impressive for C&C videos nowadays. Thumbs up for the amazing performance!
  20. In this week's edition of Throwback Thursday, we take a look at a unit design which took three concept stages to reach a final game, and was even featured in a mod in the meanwhile. The Centurion Siege Walker was first imagined during the development of Red Alert 2 as a Soviet unit, but apart from two concepts in two camo versions, it never appeared in the game and was apparently not considered for Yuri's Revenge. In the Premier Edition DVD of Red Alert 3, a slightly redesigned version can be seen, but it was again omitted from the game itself, and in 2009, it finally managed to "crawl" to the fans as the Reaper unit in Red Alert 3: Uprising. It has also been prominently featured in the Mental Omega mod for many years, even in the 2.0 days! Remember, you can click on the preview to see a larger and more detailed image. Don't forget to check out the Throwback Thursdays archives if you've missed a week. Check back again next Thursday for another Throwback. Send in your ideas for future instalments. We also encourage you to share this on social media using the hash tags #ThrowbackThursday, #CnCTBT and #CNCNZTBT.
  21. If its Monday it means it must be Music Monday time. Sometimes songs just need to be heavy, and nothing blows out the speakers like "Grinder 2" from the Red Alert 3 soundtrack. Featuring a brutal guitar riff that sounds similar to the original "Grinder" in Red Alert 2. This one is another of Frank Klepacki's contributions to Red Alert 3. A new track will be posted next Monday. And as always, don't forget to share this on social media using the hash tags #CnCMusicMonday and #MusicMonday.
  22. Command & Conquer Red Alert 3! I really like this game. Do I like it as much as the older entries? Probably not. I do love the coop campaign, though, and I like the distinctions between the three factions. Anyway, let's get on to the actual game. We start with the first Soviet mission, in which we defend the Leningrad Fortress - not that it needs much defending; it pretty has unlimited hit points anyway. Soviets Mission 1: The Shrike and the Thorn
