Hi there I've just registered
I'm new to online play for RA2/YR. I was wondering where the best place to play online is. I have gamespy arcade installed and I think you can play on there. There is also the system within the game I've never used. I don't think I registered when I installed the game and I might not have installed the shared internet components either. Can anyone help in getting set up?
Also, can people cheat or is the system fairly secure?
Thanks
Playing online first time

I'm not aware of any cheating ever online, but somone can make a cheat map though
Yes you can play on gamespy (kinda irritating though)
The old Westwood servers were retired along with Westwood Studios, now replaced with the XWIS servers
(yes you need the online components)
[PS. I haven't played Tiberian Sun, or RA2/Yuri's online for years (meaning never tried the new servers) so experience may be different from what i remember]

There must be darkness for there to be light, but the future cannot be seen because it is written in stone.

People at XWIS are really serious about cheating. If you play with anyone on XWIS (who isn't someone you know), they'll probably ask you to take a screenshot after the game is done to prove that you're not cheating. If a person accuses you of cheating on the XWIS forums you better post that screenshot or you will get your serial number banned ._.
