BioBen 3 Posted August 16, 2010 I just saw this old video from '08 about mucking around with the wiimote. Anyway about 3/4 of the way through the guy mentions that Louis Castle and EA were thinking of incorporating a head-tracking easter egg into one of their games. Video: http://www.ted.com/talks/johnny_lee_demos_...mote_hacks.html Discuss. Share this post Link to post
Inferno 22 Posted August 16, 2010 You know, C&C isn't the only one game that EA produces So, simply put, I'd estimate it at very unlikely. Share this post Link to post
BioBen 3 Posted August 17, 2010 I know, but the whole louis castle thing had me wondering... Share this post Link to post
Sonic 292 Posted August 17, 2010 Yeah its highly unlikely this had anything to do with C&C. At the time, while Louis Castle was still with EA he was working on other projects and didn't really have anything to do with C&C. Share this post Link to post
Nyerguds 100 Posted August 17, 2010 Don't see how that would be possible in a normal PC game without extra hardware. If they mean actually supporting it as wii hack... still don't see the use. Share this post Link to post
Chronojam 3 Posted August 19, 2010 (edited) The only recent C&C game this would make sense in is Tiberium, which became big at the start of 2008 before it hit the grave at the end of September. Edit: Ironic quote after checking wikipedia for the dates, this actually applies to C&C4 all too well: "EA has suspended work on Tiberium effective immediately. The game was not on track to meet the high quality standards set by the team and by the EA Games Label. A lower quality game is not in the best interest of the consumers and would not succeed in this market." Crappy RTS just in time for SC2? Not a good move. Nyerguds 100 Posted August 20, 2010 Heh. How can EA expect anything to conform to their high standards if they don't give them enough time? Share this post Link to post
