clickaus 0 Posted June 6, 2012 Hey guys, I have just bought Generals & Zero Hour again after a few years of not playing it and I wanted to play in 1920 x1080. Most of the info I have read is you have to use GenTools. My Problem is the link to the GenTools website is dead. Can anybody help me out with a DL link or maybe send it to my e-mail address. Also is Gentools what I need or is there something else I can use to play in 1920x1080. Thanks in advance Share this post Link to post
Sonic 292 Posted June 6, 2012 Unfortunately http://www.gentool.net appears to be offline. This could be a temporary problem. It was working fine when we posted this news about GenTool a week or so ago http://forums.cncnz.com/topic/16898-gentool-developer-interview/ I'm looking to mirror the GenTool download here on CNCNZ.com. GenTool is best way to go to get more life out Generals & Zero Hour but you can enable larger resolutions by editing the options.ini file found in the My Documents\Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour Data folder. Open the file, find the line that looks like this... Resolution = 1280 1024 Change to the resolution you want, save the file, start the game. If you run into other issues getting the game to run on Windows 7 etc,.. check here http://forums.cncnz.com/topic/12319-how-to-play-generals-zero-hour-in-windows-7-x64/ Share this post Link to post
BigJoe 4 Posted June 6, 2012 The GenTool website is back up again, so feel free to download! Share this post Link to post

clickaus 0 Posted June 7, 2012 Added the CNCNZ.com mirror. Info: http://www.cncnz.com/features/gentool-for-cc-generals-and-zero-hour/ Nice I looked everywhere and everyone just links it back to the gentool website. This will be handy if the gentool website ever goes dead again Share this post Link to post
Sebastiaan Seegers 0 Posted September 8, 2012 It seems the website of gentool is again offline, and i can't seem to download gentool from CNCNZ anymore any chance of a reupload? Share this post Link to post
Sonic 292 Posted September 8, 2012 Sorry about that, our downloads database sometimes gets screwed up. I fixed the problem now so you can download the latest version of GenTool using this link http://www.cncnz.com/features/gentool-for-cc-generals-and-zero-hour/ Share this post Link to post
PurpleGaga27 37 Posted September 10, 2012 (edited) The alternative download link for this is available as well: http://37.59.196.222/download/ Someone needs to get another download link through Moddb and GameFront as well. Edited September 10, 2012 by zocom7 Share this post Link to post
TE5LA 0 Posted July 13, 2013 The game will not load after installing this. It gets and error about compatibility and then exits. Unfortunately http://www.gentool.net appears to be offline. It doesn't look any different and the options does not show this resolution. Share this post Link to post
Traymen 6 Posted May 2, 2015 I am having different info about gentool.net. http://safebrowsing.clients.google.com/safebrowsing/diagnostic?site=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.gentool.net%2F&client=googlechrome&hl=eng Of the 863 pages we tested on the site over the past 90 days, 8 page(s) resulted in malicious software being downloaded and installed without user consent. The last time Google visited this site was on 2015-05-01, and the last time suspicious content was found on this site was on 2015-05-01. It looks at least suspicious. Google doesn't block the site without certain evidence. It might be just Google bot issue, but the site is block every time i am trying to connect to it. Maybe someone from gentool.net could made a statement (or anything) to clarify what's goin' on with their site. Share this post Link to post
Sonic 292 Posted May 2, 2015 GenTool is created by xezon, and published by Gamereplays.org, and I haven't seen anyone from there posting here on our forums before. If you simply need to download GenTool we have it mirrored here http://www.cncnz.com/features/gentool-for-cc-generals-and-zero-hour/ There was problem early last month with the GenTool_v7.0.exe file, I don't have all the details but I think it got reported as possibly suspicious or malicious. We know its 100% safe of course. But because we hosted the same file here at CNCNZ.com it ended up having all downloads from CNCNZ.com becoming blocked. I fixed the problems here on our site. When I visit http://www.gentool.net/ Chrome I get this... But I don't get any warnings in FIrefox. Share this post Link to post
Traymen 6 Posted May 2, 2015 Yeah, but i have to add, that Chrome blocks the file even from this site. I am not sure why, but i think that is something related with download of additional maps by GenTool. Someone reported this, and here is the result of such inconvenience. To "unblock" the file in Chrome: 1. Go to "Settings". 2. Select "Show advanced settings". 3. Uncheck "Phishing and malware protection". 4. After downloading and properly installing the file, check previous option back. Share this post Link to post

Plok 319 Posted June 2, 2016 1) That member no longer (actively) visits the site. Look at the time stamps. 2) GenTool corrects the zoom for non-4:3 resolutions. Else the view span would be too narrow and too close. Share this post Link to post
