Command & Conquer Patch Preview: Revised Progression System

On the Official C&C Site, a preview about the upcoming October patch for current alpha build of the new Command & Conquer has been posted. It goes into detail discussing the revised "Perks System". Previously, perks were tied to your level with a specific faction, which in turn allowed you to purchase perks from multiple categories. The development team decided this method was not very intuitive and have made it more streamlined. With the new system, the aim is to give players greater control over General customization, as well as further emphasizing the uniqueness of each individual General.

The perks system allows players to give themselves some additional options to enhance the play style that they enjoy with the General that they like. The perk system will focus on giving players meaningful progression with each specific General.

The perk system is not a pay to win system; all players will have access to the perks system and progression is not limited in any way to a player. Each of the perks are designed to help accentuate the natural strengths of a General, not remove weaknesses.
