Just to let everyone know I'm cranking up some new specs for Windows Longhorn, future games and RA3...

Just got an ATI Radeon 9250 256MB - OK it's not the best but it'll keep the cobwebs off the machine.... Then I'm upgrading to this little lot in April:

# 2GB RAM

# DVD Writer

# 3D surround sound card

# Maxtor 2 x 200GB Hard Disks

# 17" TFT monitor

# And a few other essentials :P

Windows Longhorn is still at least 2 year away, its not worth worry about. Plus when its released it will cost to much. Never upgrade to a new OS right away when its released. Leave all the problem solving to the fools who run out and buy it on day 1.

For RA3, I think any system that can run Zero Hour and BfME will be fine for RA3.

# DVD Writer

# 17" TFT monitor

If your look for a good DVD Writer take a look at the LG Electronics GSA-4160BB, Dual Layer DVD Writer, DVD 16R/16W/5RAM/4RW, CD 40R/40W/24RW. I have one of these drives and its damn fast, its handled everything I've thrown at it

A TFT monitor sucks for games, well in my book they do. They are over priced. If you by a cheap one thats exactly what your getting, cheap ****. The only advantage is the space they save on your computer table.

I would sink my $$$ or £££, in your case, in a good quality 19" flat screen CRT monitor. I got a Philips 109B65, 19" monitor, .25dp, 1920x1440 maxres, its awesome, sharp picture, looks good to because it's black :)

I heard that 64 and 3.0 Ghz + can cause problems and instability or something yeh, I heard that here too.

I use a nice 2.8 Ghz CPU which works great and isn't expensive at all
