Have the latest drivers and no mods... still getting error and lock ups. Never had this problem before patch. Even reinstalling game without patch doesn't help now. I think the patch is bad for certian video cards or something. Many have the same problem. EA and Mark Skaggs could care less.

Played for several years on a P3 450 w/ NVIDIA video... no problem. Did not play for a long time... installed on newer PC w/ ATI video(above)... worked great. Went to play online, applied patch, now I get "serious error" everytime at splash screen. So I uninstalled and reinstalled with no patch... now locks up at various times during direct connect game, solo play, etc... Applied patch again... then I get "serious error" at splash screen. It's an endless cycle!!! I have seen a lot of people complaining about this while researching the problem...but no solution. DCON ST. Louis

Whats the deal with the serious error??? I have been struggling with this since the latest patch! Serious errors can be caused by many things including viruses, overheated hardware and hardware that does not meet the minimum specifications for the game.
