#230835 Now Playing - Music

Posted by PurpleGaga27 on Friday, 3 February 2017 - 01:57 PM

You've got to be kidding me with the title of the song (come on Konami):

Sounds like this may have been Donald Trump's official song in Japanese style.

#230591 What if Einstein had travelled through time to assassinate Churchill?

Posted by PurpleGaga27 on Friday, 13 January 2017 - 08:03 PM

No, please, no. The last thing I would accept the fact that if Einstein went back to the future, he would have eliminated North Korea and the Middle Eastern conflict.

#230409 Petroglyph's 8-Bit Armies / 8-Bit Hordes/ 8-Bit Invaders

The latest 8-bit Invaders isn't that bad though.... but like Hordes and Armies, the gameplay is still pretty rushed.

#230277 I never asked for this!

Posted by PurpleGaga27 on Monday, 12 December 2016 - 10:38 AM

Remember this phrase for Deus Ex fans? Well now you know.

The Facebook guys somehow have tons of time trying to create a video for every user in the 2016 year of review. However, it's a waste of time for them. Thanks Facebook, but I never asked for this. It's better if users themselves create their own and if they want to.

It would have been better if Facebook sent me an electronic Christmas card instead in which they never did before.

I wonder if any of guys here are also receiving that.

#230268 Rumor of next C&C....

Posted by PurpleGaga27 on Sunday, 11 December 2016 - 06:59 PM

A C&C mobile game wouldn't be that bad since C&C needs another one other than RA2 mobile, but I have no confidence in this rumor unless the real leaks spoil out.

But that doesn't mean it answers to this fake leak: http://forums.cncnz....um-game-in-2016

#230159 Rumour: Are EA Planning to Revive Command & Conquer?

Posted by PurpleGaga27 on Sunday, 4 December 2016 - 06:22 AM

If EA were to revive C&C, they need to look into playing with a new engine other than SAGE and the unmoddable Frostbite 3+ engine. If there's any purpose left just to make profit and better innovation, they need to make it epic, but C&C has never been epic, not since C&C Generals.... and C&C can never compete with other top RTS games such as Starcraft, DoW, CoH and Civilization.

#230047 Black Friday giveaway of the year: the original KW xml pack!

Posted by PurpleGaga27 on Friday, 25 November 2016 - 10:56 AM

Before there was WrathEd, there was the original KW xml pack in which only a limited amount of modders and other guys in "the inner circle" only had in their disposal, including me. It was never released to the public.... until now. I don't care if EA gives a **** about this file being distributed since C&C is mostly dead in the water. C&C3's 10th anniversary is coming next March and I thought why not this be the time to release something this... rare?
Yes, without this pack, I wouldn't be doing what I would want to do in C&C3 modding up until to this point.
This pack includes all xml and even KW map source codes from Kane's Wrath.
This KW xml pack works really well with WrathEd, without having to re-copy every redundant code coming from WrathEd. Do not attempt to try using the xmls for the C&C3 Mod SDK since it has numerous incompatible coding that don't work or have not been implemented in C&C3. To download and use the KW xml materials for C&C3, refer to my KW Reloaded source code instead: http://www.moddb.com...-17-source-code
Have fun modding!

#228595 Petroglyph's 8-Bit Armies / 8-Bit Hordes/ 8-Bit Invaders

Posted by PurpleGaga27 on Friday, 1 July 2016 - 06:02 AM

For anyone curious regarding the files of 8-Bit Armies and Grey Goo, Petroglyph used MEG files. Sorry you cannot open them with FinalBIG even though it supported MEG files (because it's a different format use for MEG files). You have to use the Mega File Editor that can open or create MEG files compatitble with Grey Goo and 8-Bit Armies: http://modtools.petr...tools/MegEditor

Anyone interested in extracting FK's music from those games, use this tool based from this thread: https://www.greybox....orum/topic/1560

#228396 Virtual Reality -- good or bad idea?

Posted by PurpleGaga27 on Saturday, 18 June 2016 - 06:52 AM

We all have dreams in our sleep, and oftentimes there's part of virtual reality within a dream where random things come out of our memories. On some occasions, people dreamed of playing games as a virtual reality in their sleep and that only happens when you play too many games visualized into the mind.

When this technology came out not long ago people are amazed by this, but I think this idea is cliche. There are some movies using partial virtual reality technology back in the 80s and 90s when you are plugged in and suddenly you are in a simulation of virtual reality. Movies like Inception, Disclosure, Demolition Man and Die Another Day have some great examples of VR.

I am not saying if VR tech is a good or bad idea, was this really a necessity? Putting in a pricey smartphone and Occulus Rift glasses to see VR is cool, but I think that tech is gonna last as long as 3D TV.

On the other part of VR, VR gaming is also being implemented into a number of titles. Maybe very soon there will be a VR game of COD, Battlefield, GTA or Star Wars (forget about Half-Life btw).

I mean wasn't one VR product supposed to be.... universal and compatibile for all games that are supported to it? Even Gabe Newell thought that VR game exclusives are bad: http://www.pcgamer.c...ad-for-everyone

What do you think of Virtual Reality?
