  6. hello, i'm Jaap Daniels... ever since i reinstalled windows 10 pro (x64) on this pc, everything just like i think i left it before. the patch will give me the same error: "cannot install this program, a required file is missing." i followed the guide to the letter, everything seems to be installed but no matter what game of my ultimate collection (origin pack) i install the error keep popping up, and i can't continue. i also have no clue on what file it might be since each game runs sort of (mouse is buggy at best in some of the classics). is there a way to trigger debugger or log file? maybe then i can see what is going wrong. i tried already AUC turned off, anti-virus and firewall off, and windows xp/7 mode... nothing helps nor will redownload do. i'm mostly interested in general & zero hour...
  7. I've already done this in my mod. (Tiberium Dusk - Marked of Kane Spectre) Simply make a new Spectre unit that it deploys into with the deployed state as its base state (I made it as a structure so its similar to TS). You can probably just extract the code with WrathEd or read it. I mainly did it though because I wanted the Spectre to deploy into alternate states, but it does the same thing that you're asking for the most part, although mine is a structure that you can repair and sell.

  12. Greetings all.... I decided to log in here after 2 years away and see whats happening. I see nothing has really changed. I have changed though. I'm moving on in my life. I'm now engaged to a great girl. Saving to buy a house and enjoy life. Some travelling coming up to. I still enjoy gaming but nothing C&C takes my interest anymore. Anyway. Just a quick post to say hi. I might pop up every now and then.

    22 years? Well, that's quite an achievement! I have always appreciated CNCNZ's mission in providing community news and hosting a library of fixes, solutions, and lore discussion for the C&C games we all love to play. You have my respect for continuing to lead this website for fans old and new, as CNCNZ will always be an important piece of the wider C&C community. To see it celebrate its anniversary is a welcome sight, and I am certain there are many more years to come! For Kane!

    [WIP] [Tiberium Resurrection]

    1 YEAR Yes! It's here! 1st anniversary of Tiberium Resurrection So... How I got into making this mod? I was always obsessed with RTS games... I played every C&C game and some other RTS titles since I remember. It was 2016, when I discovered Ultimate Collection on Origin and immediately bought one. Since then, my obsession got worse ... I re-played Tiberian Sun, Tiberian Dawn, Tiberium Wars, Renegade and partially Red Alert 2. At one point, I got bored again and started looking for some community creations (2017). Not long after that, I found Final Sun, later CnCNet, which I officially joined 27th December 2017. It was summer 2018, when I was going through some sh*t and TS was now my hobby, where I could relax. I decided to take it to the next level and started making plot for Tiberium Resurrection - my own mod. I just couldn't get it done right, so I spent a lot of time making different plots, stories and eventually maps. I decided to re-play Tiberian Sun and when I finished NOD mission Sheep's clothing, I got a plot which would take place after this mission and so I started making map for it. Not long after that, I finished the plot and announced it on CncNet on 31st October 2018. Since then, I have learned much more about map-making, modding and video editing than I could ever imagine, but I have still much to learn... Alright... And what about the update? I am currently working on an update 2.25. It will include 3rd soundtrack and 3rd skirmish map - TIBER RIVER. The name should be already known to you. It's river in Italy, where meteor with tiberium impacted the Earth and created madness for decades. Based on information I found about this river (from real world sources and tiberium universe), I will try to re-create it as best as I can. Constant fights between GDI and NOD, new tiberium liveform which came alongside with meteor, Rome and much more in this skirmish map for 2-5 players!     CNCNZ.com Is Online for 22 Years

    The site being an info hub is the reason I found it in the first place all those years ago, as it had a treasury of fixes, files and information that I couldn't easily find anywhere else. In many ways, it's far superior to anything EA unfortunately bothered to set up as an official C&C site. And being fan-lead and community-wide interconnected, I trust CNCNZ will remain a beacon of the C&C franchise in whatever form you deem best suitable for the job. I really miss the old filefront repository type system where "multiple clicks" always got me what I needed. Although newcomers and many of us that are now used to simpler designes might feel overwhelmed if met head on with such a system nowadays. As long as the landing pages remain streamlined to not repel visitors with too much information or lists all at once, whatever systems in place to organize files and information that are one or two click-levels deeper into the site should be good. I think I can humbly and respectfully speak for many of us in the wider community when I say that CNCNZ's contribution to keeping C&C alive, as well as that of the dedicated staff here, is a true inspiration and that we are very glad to see such a site still around. Thank you for keeping the site going against all odds, many of us (even though not always around to show it) sincerely appreciate it!

  17. 27 October is when CNCNZ.com observes its anniversary, this time number 22. But alas, if you have visited this site at any point over the past year or so, you will have noticed that our activity has not been what it once was. Due to private obligations and shifting focus to other projects and ways of contributing to game communities in general, combined with a lack of enthusiastic staff who would push content and news, those of us who remain have left CNCNZ.com on the backburner for a while, although we do cover official C&C remaster news and news regarding former C&C developers whenever we catch wind of them. However, once this "quiet" phase ends, I would like to announce that CNCNZ.com will change its scope in the foreseeable future to better serve the series and the community as a hub for C&C info, in which a greater stress will be the aspects that you usually need multiple clicks to reach. What that will exactly look like, we can't and won't reveal right now, but watch this space in the coming months. Until then, we're still available to talk on our Discord server and our (currently asleep) forums.

    C&C Remastered Gameplay Teaser and Website!

    Not bad for a remastering of graphics. Those 2D graphics remind me of the graphics similarly seen in the first 3 Fallout games.
  20. 1) Explosions need remastering 2) Some building models look tooo shinny and clean not realistic enough, looks too reflective.( like Terrans in sc2 beta and then Blizzard made them more griddy) definitely excited about it.

Here's what Jim Vessella had to say: Fellow Command & Conquer fans, Crazy to believe it’s nearly been one year since we formally announced the C&C Remaster and began development with Petroglyph Games and Lemon Sky Studios. To celebrate this milestone, today we’re excited to showcase one of our biggest reveals on the journey so far - a first teaser of the game in action! And with this teaser comes an answer to one of your key questions from the past year: “Is the Remaster going to be in 2D or 3D?” We’re ready to share the Remaster has been developed in the classic 2D visual style, unlocking our ability to stay as authentic as possible to the original games. Below we’d like to provide more details on how we’re approaching these visuals, and why we felt the 2D style was the best fit for the project. As you may remember from one of the first posts, our plan is to remaster (not remake) the classic games. Creatively, this means our guiding light has always been to remain authentic to the original feel, and we’re constantly on the lookout for ways to achieve that goal. When we recovered the source code to C&C Tiberian Dawn and C&C Red Alert, this gave us a viable avenue to accurately match the core gameplay, feel, and signature look of the legacy titles. We felt the 2D style was the best way to bring all these elements together, and ultimately achieve the authenticity we were looking for. It’s been wonderful to see the passionate, artistic care taken by Lemon Sky and the team with this creative approach. Lemon Sky has re-concepted, re-modeled, and re-animated every gameplay asset from scratch - examples of which you’ve seen with the Construction Yard and Tesla Tank. Once it reaches the final stage as seen in those previews, we render and export the assets in 2D so they lineup frame for frame with the original visuals. In some cases like the Grenadier, this can mean over 600 frames for a single unit. This creative process has allowed us to modernize the game assets as you originally imagined them, and stay true to the gameplay you’ve known and loved for 25 years. In addition to the authenticity, we’re excited to reveal an extra benefit of this 2D approach is that Petroglyph has been able to utilize their deep familiarity with the source code to enable the real-time switching of Legacy / Remastered graphics in Campaign missions. This means at any time when playing a Campaign mission, you can tap a single key to smoothly toggle between the original assets at 320 x 200, to the Remastered assets up to 3840 x 2160. Playing with this toggle over the past several months has been a true joy, and we believe will be one of your favorite features in the Remaster. Along with the real-time toggling, you’ll have the ability to zoom the camera to take in all the high definition detail, with an effective zoom distance between the DOS and C&C Gold camera heights. You can see an example of these features in action in the associated video above (just in case you made it this far and haven’t watched it already).   24. I have 2 problems with getting "A New Experience" to work with KW: 1. Where do I put the FreeCam shell map? I tried (C:\Users\AAA\Documents\Command & Conquer 3 Kane's Wrath\Maps\official, C:\Users\AAA\AppData\Roaming\Command & Conquer 3 Kane's Wrath\Maps, C:\Users\AAA\Documents\Command & Conquer 3 Kane's Wrath\Maps) but ingame the maps "turn black" with high max camera heights zooming out 2. How do I compile a map with "BuildMap.bat"? I tried to compile maps with "BuildMap.bat", but it keeps saying "Error: the map doesn't exist"
