A very interesting read, I do hope EA are able to take some of the comments into account -
Nope. Just as you can't use an Amazon gift voucher in PC World.
-
Fair enough, I didn't get any emails from EA, so that's the only way I can install it.
-
So you've downloaded Uprising from the EA Store and it's working fine, but did you know that you can only download 4 more times, or that your download will expire in 1 year, and what about DRM!? Fear not, my EA Store Guide provides a comprehensive explanation of all of these pitfalls and instructions on backing up to a DVD! If you've used the EA Store you need to read this.
-
Uprising is also available on D2D which I believe does grant you lifetime downloads. Personally I think the expansion is well worth it, much more interesting than RA3 itself.
-
I've got Vista on one comp and XP on another. When going back to XP I really miss the start search function; looking for shortcuts is for chumps!
-
People kept asking the same questions on the official forums, and I got fed up of answering! Now it's all written down in one place

Thanks for the news post Your graphic is so much better than mine, I hope you don't mind but I've pinched your idea. Here's a 400px version if you'd like, the "guide" text is slightly clearer: http://cncworld.org/images/storeguide400.jpg

CNCNZ.com Downloads Temporarily Offline
chickendippers replied to Sonic's topic in Command & Conquer News
I've been getting through 400Gb/month in data transfer over the past couple of months. All from unresolvable IP addys (ie suspicious). It's not causing me performance problems, but it is stopping me from announcing some cool downloads. Most annoying! -
CNCNZ.com Roundtable #17 - February 2009

I'm praying for Uprising to be released on Steam, failing that I might take a look at D2D. I'm not really satisfied with the EA Store; it limits the number of times you can download in a month, you can only re-download for 6 months after which you have to pay again, and backing up to a DVD is not particularly straight forward. -

Yeah, this is the best competition entry system C&C has had, if I do say so myself........has nothing to do with the fact that I designed and hosted it -

Heh interesting to see that people are still talking about Yuri, even though Apoc has categorically said that he's not in it...several times! -

Following the release of Red Alert 1 for C&C's 13th anniversary CnCWorld have published a step-by-step installation guide. It will show you what to do with .iso files, how to set compatibility mode and how to apply the patch. All with pretty screenshots just to make it even easier. Check it out.

Thanks for the shout out Sonic, it was cool to finally meet you and to put a face to the mysterious persona! I jotted down some notes about the units and stuff, as did JohnWE. I think he also took down build times and cost...although I don't see the point as it'll all change by release. -
