We see you're using an ad blocker of some kind. And hey, that's okay! Some of us do, too! We just want you to know
that we don't use conventional spammy ads at CNCNZ.com. We only link to our own internal projects, or other sites
within the Command & Conquer community! Who knows, you might see a mod or download you like! Thanks!

  1. Happy Easter From CNCNZ.com!

Now that it's been a few days and participation has slowed down, I feel enough time has passed to post the "prize" for winning. It's a link to this wonderful picture of Kane himself participating in Easter Celebrations: Lastly, if you'd like to fiddle around with the eggs more, feel free to check out the entire list of eggs on the completion page.
  2. Easter is Here! And so is April Fools Day! The last time both fell on the same day was over 60 years ago! To celebrate, CNCNZ is hosting an Easter egg hunt! On the main website, we've hidden 30 Easter eggs on different pages. If you find them all, you'll be rewarded with a fun surprise! Here are some details: You'll have to search the main site! The game pages, the download pages, who knows! We haven't hidden any eggs on the forums because there are too many pages to search. Keep your search to one tab! For some reason, the software is limited to one tab at a time, which means you won't be able to just open up the entire website all at once in 50 different tabs. In some cases, you'll find two eggs on one page! All of the eggs are at fixed locations, refreshing the page over and over won't help! Please don't spoil the fun for everyone else! No posting links for at least a couple days! We'll remove the eggs in about a week or so, to give everybody a chance to find them. Good luck!
  3. C&C LEGO is back! And in this episode, we get to see the true fate of Kane! I'll give you a hint: KANE LIVES! After you're done watching this, check out some of the previous episodes !
  4. So, a fair amount has been in the works behind the scenes. I suppose this is indeed a fair time for a recap. Plokite Wolf has indeed been promoted to Lead Admin. This is especially important for some of the representative work he is trying to do around the community, and a reward for his endless contributions to the structure and content around the site. He is also essentially the successor to CNCNZ should anything happen to me. CNCNZ is now hiring. We've updated our hiring page, though we will likely make a more formal announcement later. I've renamed myself Rabbit sort of for the sake of the new year, the connections to my new "brand," and to eliminate confusion with another member of the C&C community. Within the next few months, we'll be activating a few new features, most of which we are not quite yet ready to announce. Nmenth's Research Lab is an example of our most recent new feature.
  5. Loot boxes are like quarter machines. You can see what you could get, but you don't know what you will get until you put a quarter into the machine and turn the knob. These are just more expensive versions of the same thing. Loot boxes (and quarter machines) would be gambling if there was a chance you couldn't get anything at all. (Not sure if quarter machine is a universal term, but if you're curious, I'm talking about something like this)
  6. Ads for Community Sites

Thread unlocked so people can ask questions while this is still developing.
  7. As you can see, the forums now have advertisements. But don't fret! The advertisements are only links to other C&C sites around the community. We will never advertise spammy links to products or services that are unrelated to Command & Conquer. We will also never show ads with sound, video, or tracking of any kind. Just wanted to make that clear. Example Ad Instead, we'd like to offer you all the opportunity to advertise with CNCNZ.com! If you have a project or fansite connected to Command & Conquer, feel free to contact us by emailing ads@cncnz.com. Types of sites that we will link to: C&C Mod Project Sites Community News Sites Multiplayer Services Fan Content Sites/Blogs (As long as there is enough content to merit an ad) Youtube Channels that feature regular ongoing C&C content or a cache of previous C&C content. Types of content we will not link to: Individual Videos individual artwork Newly formed sites that do not yet have enough content to warrant recognition. We can create the ad for you or you can create it yourself! Either way works! And this service is entirely free! We just want to promote all of the current C&C sites in the community. If you'd like to create your own ad image, it must simply fit the following criteria: It must be 728px x 90px You must send us an accompanying link to go with the image The image must be relevant to what it is advertising, and must reflect Command & Conquer and C&C in a positive manner. No clickbait ads (as in, no advertising a mod using pictures of features that are not a part of the mod, or pictures focused on tanya's tits, or something like that). Please note that CNCNZ staff has the right to approve and deny ads based on what we see as appropriate, as per the rules above.
  8. Need voice for new unit.

Hi there. I'll give this a shot, I'm a little busy at the moment but give me a few days and I'll see what I can put together.
  9. It happens from time to time, it's really not a huge deal at all. The "active" list prioritizes people who are continuing to browse, while inactive members are listed up to 20 minutes after they've stopped browsing new pages (or closing their web browser). Upon actually signing out, the user is typically supposed to drop entirely from the active member list, but it doesn't always happen. Nothing to worry about, your account is fine and shows no strange unusual activity whatsoever.
  10. Greg Black, the former lead balance and multiplayer designer for C&C 3 and Red Alert 3, has returned to Electronic Arts. What does this mean? Some are asking the question: Is a new C&C game in development? While there is no way to know, Greg Black is one of the most experienced developers within the Real-Time Strategy genre. Even after leaving EA (and C&C) after Red Alert 3, Greg Black continued to work on RTS games, most recently Blizzard's StarCraft II expansions. One might believe he wouldn't leave a lucrative job at Blizzard without a good reason. Maybe that reason is a new Command & Conquer game. Greg himself seems interested in calling attention to his new job, as hinted at on his own Twitter feed, with the message: "Survived my first day back at @EA It's a weird feeling being back after all this time. Can't wait to show you all what I'm working on." What do you think it means? Feel free to discuss, debate, fight, kick, and scream your comments below. Please note that this is complete and utter speculation, and we do not want you to take any suggestion of a new C&C game as fact until an official announcement is made by EA.
  11. Yeah, I feel the same way. It would be really neat if there was a general-purpose RTS engine. I just hope it's powerful enough to make a decent game, but I admittedly have no knowledge of how to program this kind of thing either, so I can only wish you luck.
  12. Forged Battalion

The biggest thing that disappoints me about the previews for every Petroglyph game is the presentation. It's like they assume that filling the screen with tracer rounds and explosions is the best way to get the point across that it's a good game, when all it does is leave me feeling confused and even uncertain if I want to play a game where I can't tell what is going on.
  13. The newest episode is here! This time, it's all about crates. One thing that always irritated me (and I'm sure many of you) is when you'd send your men after a crate, only for it to disappear and spawn somewhere else right before you got to it! Let's hope the boys in this video have some better luck.
  14. There is now a new forum for general C&C discussion. We've always been missing something like this, I don't know why it took so long to consider it. It's listed above all of the other Command & Conquer games. Poke through the forum and you'll understand why it's pretty useful.
  15. With great anticipation, we are proud to finally announce that C&C Radio is here! Featuring all of your favorite C&C Music, some audio clips from your favorite C&C games, and commentary from the CNCNZ staff, C&C Radio is sure to keep you entertained for hours. This marks the start of the festivities for the month of October, where we celebrate CNCNZ.com turning 20 years old on October 27th.
