Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight Goes Mobile
Silverthorn replied to Sonic's topic in Command & Conquer News
Ok, although I did not make my thorough research, but here's the thing, why do you create a game which is based on an already failed game? If you do, your product will most likely to fail as well. The Mobile Team can create a C&C4 game, but make sure it's not purely C&C related, they can have the Crawler and stuff but do not use the GDI & Nod factions. If they do, people will know it's the failed game and therefore, will not buy it! But in this case, since they wasted tons of time creating it, it only makes the franchise even worse. Is money means everything in the whole EA business? Look at Blizzard & Valve, does money means anything to them? You can say yes, but frankly, money is not their priority, quality IS their priority! Enough with that, you can say we're not forced to buy it, yes, we're not forced, but we have the right to shout out, and we say no! If C&C is already in extremely bad shape, DO NOT create some more stuff which only ends up in more epic failures! Just think, Starcraft 2 for instance, if Blizzard finishes the "Heart of the Swarm" within this year (There are some bad fans want the story as soon as possible), quality will fall pretty bad for sure both in terms of gameplay as well as storyline. Whether if it's EALA or the Mobile Team, focus on improving C&C or touch something else, we are the REAL judges to your product. Don't let money get into your head! -
Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight Goes Mobile

Damn straight, is EALA running out of ideas to sell out and maintain the C&C franchise? C&C4 related stuff to sell out is only nothing but making the franchise even worse and thus more fans running away, even if they do give us a downloadable art book, pewter figurine of the Crawler, etc.. It ain't gonna earn back our hearts! You execs, you just wasted precious time over a game which will not sell very well! Anyway, luckily I lost my interest in the iPhone 4 since its reputation continue to get worse since the Grip of Death, so I won't be touching iPhone games. -
Me too, Westwood FTW!! Physical items, if only you're here for today's gaming market. Starcraft 2 had other physical items made, but the figurines are the most memorable.

Can We Expect Any C&C Announcments at Gamescom 2010?
Silverthorn replied to Sonic's topic in Command & Conquer News
To be honest, if they reveal a game, it'll spoil everything just like C&C4 all over again. So I suggest they should keep the new game later and reveal it in another time, just like how Blizzard only show off their Starcraft 2 when they felt the right time is available. If they do release a game, good luck with that, EALA. You're still gonna need it, more good luck even further to bring the broken-hearted fans back. -
C&C IV: Tiberian Eclipse Mod Interview

I had tracked their progress, I'm sure they'll pull this one off. They'll never let us down as they had promised us & themselves to be like our WW Studios. -
C&C IV: Tiberian Eclipse Mod Interview
Silverthorn replied to dbjs2009's topic in Command & Conquer News
A very good interview. Nice! Let's hope that mod ends our beloved franchise or just the Tiberium universe with the biggest bang of all. Not that EALA ends it with biggest whimper in the entire galaxy. -
New CNCNZ.com|C&C365 Poll: Announcement of the Next C&C
Silverthorn replied to Sonic's topic in Command & Conquer News
Rush the game again? No way we're going to look into that! C&C3 was awesome when we look at it, but remember how Greg Black told us about the numerous problems during development. If that problem happens all over again, shall we bury the franchise and never let EALA make another one again? Like I & many had said, "Pure Quality or early money profit? If you want to beat Blizzard, then follow their examples when money is not the thing you must worry about." -

I prefer a sweet long good time and pure quality just like how Blizzard did with Starcraft 2. -
CNCNZ.com Roundtable Discussion #29: July 2010
Silverthorn replied to Sonic's topic in Command & Conquer News
Question 2 made me agree and yes, I'm sure you already know how bad the older dev team went, especially you, Sonic, you do remember that I did suggest a brand new universe instead while retaining the original gameplay. Stale or not, C&C has always been like this and many fans refuse to move on to new mechanics, and that's where C&C4 brought us the downfall, leading to well, you get how it turned out. Wow, Banshee has a lot to say, and yes, I do agree on the radar part, I prefer the classic no radar unless you have a radar tower and also shut down if destroyed or low power. I miss those! Regarding the 1 harvester per 1 ore node, it was an ok system in my opinion, but with that in place, RA3 didn't end up as a World Cyber Games candidate. If you want to let your game enter the WCG, then go back to the numerous harvesters like you did with C&C3. And correct, sidebar is an a must (Not just a classic key favorite), with my new laptop in use, I'm using FHD here and not to mention Widescreen! And also, if JVC is already here, just be on your guard for the greedy rushing execs, look what and how they did to Greg Black, Mark Skaggs and the other key developers! As for Question 3, Zéphyr is right, I prefer a full quality game just like how Valve (Except Left 4 Dead 2) & Blizzard took their time to make their games, no more rushes, EALA, money will never come to you when you rush! We're now smarter of how to buy our games and we already know how you work on them. -
Interview with EA Goodman's Community Team
Silverthorn replied to dbjs2009's topic in Command & Conquer News
I agree with you, Nash. I still wanted the C&C franchise to give an honorable RIP, but as usual, does the EALA execs ever listen or even look at how we are in & still falling apart? But if they still say "No, we want the franchise to go on. We got to have, MONEY...", then the same war will still go on, and on and on...... Not to say I finally hate the franchise, I just want to say and hopefully if any of you remember, if I were the franchise and if it has a life, I would say while I'm on my electric chair : "Please, just kill me already! Don't torture me until I nearly die and live again to go for more humiliation and pain in the future! JUST KILL MEH!! PLEASE!!" -
Interview with EA Goodman's Community Team
Silverthorn replied to dbjs2009's topic in Command & Conquer News
I kind of disagree on that part, yes, things are looking fine, Goodman, but wait till you see what the execs had in store for you. Don't forget how Greg Black (Mark Skaggs included) experienced & then he left. He maybe a developer instead of a community manager like APOC, but take note that EALA isn't all but a walk in the park. Not to sound completely harsh, but be aware of what the goals of EALA is trying to do compare to Blizzard's. -------- On the other side, I also hear no news of Jon Van Caneghem so far, but I prefer he & his team don't work in EALA at all, he will end up become our next Greg Black and then ready to follow the same sufferings just like Greg Black all over again. Sure, JVC maybe cool and all and I am NOT totally against him, but the execs are the ones who are their lethal drugs. And I'm pretty sure we don't like those execs one damn bit! If JVC actually already in EALA, I wish them good luck, AND they're gonna need it! -
Woo, I wish I could keep it short, it's just sometimes I like a reasonable long post. But I agree with you, I do hate reading my own long posts as well. Try to summarize shorter but I may take out important points as well. -------- Well Sith, you can say all you want, but I tell you, people do still get crazy & stupid as long as the franchise still lives and under by its bad masters (EA). Like I did mention earlier before, can we just bury the franchise already? But the answer is still the same, EA keeps it alive for the sake of money. + *Face palm* -------- Mal, I'm with you, another company like Blizzard or Relic (Which I don't know that one) will do better or even Valve too. Red Alert 3 I got the feeling it should take about at least 15 to 18 months to finish, 9 to 11 is just way too short. Yeap, Greg Black escaped EA just like how Mark Skaggs did the same thing.
-
I'm with you on this one, like Greg said, EA should be like Blizzard, 3 to 6 years of constructing a good game. Quality is the most important thing, if you watch over quality, you'll guarantee lots of money in return, think of how much Starcraft 2 will earn in return when it comes out. If you just rush and chunk out a game, sure, you'll earn money in return for a medium quality game, but that will result your reputation & deliverance ability getting worse and worse and thus losing more customers (And also results great employees resigning). So far, EA, think about it and ask yourself, Greg hurt you back when he exposed the reality when he used to work with you. Remember not just him & the great RTS teammates he has, that also includes Mark Skaggs. PS : I thought the dev teams are the bad guys which I thought at first including they are the ones who are responsible for C&C's downfall, but Greg said it's the execs are the ones to blame. Poor dev team, if only we can apologize. As for you, execs, we WILL be watching you & your every move!
-
I'm with Mal on this one, thanks for writing this one which I'll be telling the same. In my opinion, quality is more important than money. If only EA follow the examples of Blizzard & its will be 100% beautiful Starcraft 2 game (Including the way how they market the game, not to mention Starcraft 2 pictures on Korean Air jumbo jets)
-
I'm with Sith, QFT on Nmenth's.
-
Starcraft 2 images or not, this one is all about seriousness and it'll work well when the serious concept pictures are replaced by their own. But anyway, C&C as an MMO is so no good & it's a no go! We do not want another fraud just like EA pulled off their C&C4. C&C must remain as an RTS (Not RTT), whether if the old school gameplay stays or replaced by something new as a reboot.

New CNCNZ.com|C&C365 Poll: What's Next for Command & Conquer?
Silverthorn replied to Sonic's topic in Command & Conquer News
I'm with Jarzka on this one. Hopefully no further comment. -
Oooo, it hurts. Yes, no one lasts forever. Let's hope the new guy will work things out despite our restlessness due to C&C4's epic failure. Not to add the pressure, but it's true.
-
Err, nope, I have no idea about it since I rarely surf for mods like I used to. If it's a standalone, I'll be really happy about it. After all, many of us prefer to play Ren-X without Unreal 3, last time we used to buy Unreal 3 just for playing Ren-X only.
-
Not precise, although I want the game or mod to be standalone as well. But too bad, the respective games are from different companies and laws must follow, therefore most likely a standalone is not possible, not even in the future which I'm afraid of. Anyway, I hope if that's one of the singleplayer missions, then I'll be happy to watch this show.
-
I also don't know if APOC might have re-read what are the true meanings of C&C, since I just updated back with the Theater of War style campaign & Soldier's Head style boxart. Not to mention Jon Van Caneghem has not been heard for so long and he should be in control of the franchise by now. What is it? Planning a surprise like a party?

C&C: The Motion Comic 4 - King Takes Pawn
Silverthorn replied to Sonic's topic in Command & Conquer News
Thanks for saying that one out for me. Especially the Westwood part, and of course, they'll be able to cover the holes rather than creating them just like EA always do. EDIT : I'm not really sure, although some may say it might have little or no relation / continuation to C&C4, but this might end up as a fan fiction but in paid format. -
Same case for Left 4 Dead 1 & 2's "Crash Course" & "The Passing" respectively. Each of these DLCs cost 560 points for the Xbox 360. Valve wanted it free too like the PC, but sadly, Microsoft's policy is in the way and Valve cannot stop them, business is business after all.
-
Let's hope the C&C3 CGI movies are uploaded as well, I kind of lost track of them in Youtube.
