  1. Same here. Personally my favorite genres within the C&C franchise is the Tiberian universe and the original Red Alert 1 universe (excluding the clown-looking wackiness as seen in the spinoffs). I guess these universes have kinda ended and concluded one way or another, and its cool for me to see the return of the franchise as a whole by revisiting the GENERALS universe. While Generals wasn't my favorite game, I have to admit that I spent countless hours in the online/multi-player mode in cybercafes and at home back then. It was good, it was fun, crazy times, and I still remembered my peers preferred General Granger (Airforce General) for pumping out crazy beefed up F-22s and start the dozer-hunting at the early phase of the game, and cursing each time how hard it was to eradicate the small pesky workers thats like all over the place. Anyways I'm all in for the gritter feel and the more realistic feel to the game. Bring it on!

  3. The Nazi's return would be a sweet one though, lol!
  4. Why not design the game in such a way the devs give you, the commander, to decide whatever you like? You like MCV, then you can customize prior to the mission. You like dozers, by all means. You like C&C4's Walkers, by all means. Everyone's happy. Winning. Same goes for the sidebar/bottombar nonsense. Make it customizable, period.

Haha! All I wish is this: --- The progress of this silly SOPA crap. SOPA Amendments of the Day Proposed SOPA Amendments of the Day: Rep. Lamar Smith (R-TX) has introduced changes to the Stop Online Piracy Act that reduce the bill’s scope and remove the ability for copyright holders to shut down any website based on mere allegations of copyright infringement. Instead, the amended bill (PDF) allows judges to order ad networks not to work with sites “dedicated” to infringement, but removes the ability for the rights holders — i.e. the entertainment industry — to shut those sites down themselves. The changes to the bill also specify that it applies only to foreign sites, not to sites ending in .com, .net and .org. SOPA does still allow for Internet censorship, though. It lets financial institutions and ad providers boycott sites they deem “rogue operators,” and allows the Department of Justice to order ISPs to block their customers from visiting certain sites. A counter-proposal currently being drafted by Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Or.), who promised to filibuster SOPA if it ever came to the Senate floor, would turn over the responsibility of dealing with “rogue” websites to the International Trade Commission. http://geeks.thedail...nts-of-the-day/
  7. Russia is a more logical choice, and most generic among all. If EA uses China again, China censorship will ban the game again, so its better not to touch China and use something else like Russia. Or the second choice, most probably Asia, or some form of a collective bunch of Asian nations working together to stop the terrorists.

    Hi-Res Generals 2 Screen Shots

Is it just me or something, there seem to be the deja vu effect the post 2.5D tiberian sun engine and the inception of the SAGE engine. During this phase, I still remember how fans and gamers struggled with their ancient computers to attempt to play Generals. Similarly, now's the post SAGE engine and inception of Frostbite 2 engine. And by 2013, fans and gamers who still using their current setup will be forced to abandon their setups and upgrade/complete overhaul in order to play Generals 2. But, on the bright side that's the price to pay for games with improved graphics and stunning visuals.
  23. That was something I was awaiting to hear, and hope they keep up to the promise that they put the same amount of effort of both types of gameplay. It's good that the devs know the importance of single player campaigns that defined the essence of what Command & Conquer truly is.
