Command and Conquer first decade on windows 7
Tore replied to TylerG10's topic in Tech Discussion & Support
Can you post a screenshot (or picture) of the edges being cut off? Does Generals and Zero Hour give you error messages? Edit: Tiberian Sun and Red Alert 2 does support custom resolutions by editing SUN.ini and RA2(MD).ini, RA1 supports custom resolutions with the highly experimental RA-hires. C&C95 supports custom resolutions as of 1.06c revision 2 note that resolutions higher than 1024 x 768 might be bigger than some of the maps themselves in some of the games (C&C95 especially) -
Command and Conquer first decade on windows 7
Tore replied to TylerG10's topic in Tech Discussion & Support
Though you might have DirectX 11 you might be missing DirectX 9 components as they are separate things. To fix colors use cnc-ddraw it defaults to windowed mode so if you want fullscreen check the ini settings at the bottom. -
Command and Conquer first decade on windows 7
Tore replied to TylerG10's topic in Tech Discussion & Support
Try to change resolution in rasetup.exe or ccsetup.exe (both can be found in C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command & Conquer The First Decade under the respective game folder) The unable to set video mode error is most likely because of an incomplete Direct X 9 install or faulty video driver. Get the latest driver for your video card and/or the latest DirectX 9 update. -
Minecraft is a good game. With a unique graphical style and gameplay. Mining resources and building things (sounds familiar? Anyone?) is pretty fun if you do it with friends. However I get bored of Minecraft pretty fast due to the changes that have been make to it recently (hunger? What the heck?!)

Tore replied to Sonic's topic in Command & Conquer News
Then I'm sorry to tell you that Renegade X is primarily a multiplayer game. The singleplayer campaign is Black Dawn. And yes Renegade X will be all based on the Unreal Development Kit (UDK) both Singleplayer and Multiplayer. All this info can you find easily on their official website.- 12 replies

US Army Dismounted Soldier Training System is the greatest game you’ll never play
Tore replied to Malevolence's topic in Gaming Discussion
Oh snap this can do what Arma 2/VBS2 already does, but with smoother animations. Congratulations US Military and Realtime Immersion aka Crytek! By the way the Dismounted Soldier Training System reverted back to using VBS2 again ages ago. Way to go Gaming Media!- 7 replies

What I believe will be a great game of 2012 is Arma 3 and some of the stuff already mentioned. and don't forget Renegade X!

How was the Generals campaign bad? I kinda liked it. It had a few cool scenes. (Zero Hour was better though) I hope "Generals 2" will introduce ship combat to Generals as the Generals mods with ships are awesome.

More Evidence for the Victory Games/BioWare Rumours
Tore replied to Sonic's topic in Command & Conquer News
Sierra did? RTS? World in Conflict is a Real Time Tactics (RTT) game made by Massive Entertainment and published by Sierra (Ubisoft after Sierra closed it's doors due to it's parent company Vivendi Games merged with Activision), Massive Entertainment also made the awesome Ground Control series.- 21 replies

Greetings Command & Conquer Community! It has been a long time since there has been any announcement from CnCNet spread around the community. Our last announcement was CnCNet v2, but today we announce something much greater: CnCNet v3! (3.1a to be exact as of this writing) A lot has happened since our last announcement. For instance CnCNet now uses dedicated servers instead of relying on peer to peer (P2P), this means that the old portforwarding requirement is gone, further advancing our goal of just install and play. P2P functionality is still there if you wish to use it. It is useful if ever our servers should go down or you have high latency to our servers (housed in the United States and the United Kingdom) and your opponent is close to you geographically. CnCNet also got a permanent home at www.cncnet.org! Using dedicated servers has many advantages: No portforwarding, no router or firewall setup (unless your firewall is very restrictive), It just works™ even in restrictive networks such as schools. (remember you are there to study, not to play C&C sadly enough). CnCNet now fully supports all classic C&C games, yes that means Command & Conquer (Covert Operations), Red Alert (Counterstrike, Aftermath), Tiberian Sun (Firestorm) and a newcomer Red Alert 2 (Yuri's Revenge). [The Red Alert lobby is pretty active as illustrated below] To get started simply give CnCNet.org a visit! Days of C&C online gaming are waiting!

Ah, the Xbox. So much fun with Metal Arms, Mercenaries, Jedi Starfighter, Halo 1 and 2 and other games.
-
Pretty much ignored stuff from Counterstrike and Aftermath too...but I guess those are not "official enough" like the tons of tracks missing from the tiberian survey.

Uhmm what's that supposed to mean? Firefox is way more targeted than Chrome due to the popularity of Firefox. Chrome gets patched more often as well.

Lynx - the fastest web browser ever made Seriously though I use Opera on my PCs, phone and tablet since it's fast, smooth and got a lot of options like syncing bookmarks, speed dial, passwords, history etc over all my devices. On slow networks Opera Turbo is very useful as well. Though on some PCs is loads up very slowly...but Firefox does the same...on these PCs I use Chrome(ium) which is my second choice, and first choice on Linux based systems.

The survey is missing a lot of must have tracks like March to doom (C&C1), Link Up (TS), Nod Crush (TS), Killing Machine (TS), Destructible Times (Nod credits theme) (C&C1) and it needs the ingame titles for Full stop (Warfare) and Target (Mechanical Man). :/ Might be more missing but I can't think of them at the top of my head.

RA3 works fine on my Windows 7 64-bit system so yes it works on Windows 7. And have you tried the latest update for RA3? That should make the game No DVD from what I remember.

Tiberian Sun Redux - Temple of Nod and Artillery Textured
Tore replied to Plok's topic in Command & Conquer News
Uhmm....Tiberian Sun Redux is a Generals Zero Hour mod... -
And loose 64 player maps and Jets in the process. From my experience with Origin it isn't that bad really. It's a lot better than the horrible EA Downloader in functionality and download speeds. On average it takes less than 50 sec to start BF3, login to Origin and playing the game.

How to create a full install of Red Alert with Addons?
Tore replied to kukris's topic in Red Alert / Counterstrike / Aftermath
You can get FullRA+ from here. But as far as I can remember FullRA+ can't read movies and has that funny WOL registration bug. -
I have a ASUS Eee Pad Transformer and I'm quite happy with it.

How to create a full install of Red Alert with Addons?
Tore replied to kukris's topic in Red Alert / Counterstrike / Aftermath
Well you can get it all from here: http://redalert1.com/ <- that wont work on XWIS/WOL though and the ant mission cinematics are missing. :/ -
Renegade X? More like Renegade Awesome! :3

As far as I know GameRanger is the people who decide what games they want to support. Also CnCNet works just fine. Also note that you bumped a 1 year old topic, congratulations!
