    No Man's Sky

I haven't heard nor played NMS... are the refunds because it's boring missing advertised content because it's broken (crashes) Most of the feedback I've glanced over seemed like the game was simply boring.

Ha... you've got to stop listening to the voices in your head!
  6. This is great news. I love to know other people are using it as an engine for their ideas...

    Star Trek Beyond

I saw it this week, I thought it was pretty flat. I did really like the way it handled Nimoy, but felt it needed to do more for Anton. A simple dedication at the start of the film was what I was expecting.

Pokemon Go is a horrible idea

I don't get what you're saying... I think the need for hot cleansing shower afterwards *is* the point of why the structures physically exist. . . . and no... no games or entertainment of any type around the dead and their memorials. It's just plain disrespectful. Just because you don't care, doesn't mean that other people don't care.... respect the living if you can't respect the dead.

    Star Trek: Discovery

^this. If they could find a way to cleverly work within the established lore prequels would be good... but almost all of them prove it should have been left to the imagination.
  12. CNCNZ Controller.... WHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

    Star Trek: Discovery

Nice find Sonic, because everything in the trailer says Klingon. I remember reading the phase 2 hard-cover book years ago, but I don't remember anything in it. I didn't know it was going to be on Netflix, I thought it was going to be exclusive cbs-usa-geo-locked thing. That's great news. I guess that explains why all the Star Trek shows just moved over to my Aussie Netflix account in the last month...

    Wonder Woman (2017)

She was the best thing about BvS, and the action here is very good. Very '300' IMO, which is a good thing. Let the Captain America analogies begin... Why couldn't they have given her a non-round shield... I know Greek shields are round... but a modern re-design to avoid unnecessary comparisons??? I like Chris Pine as well. I'm hopeful for a good night out.
  15. Yeah Jason was great, Aquaman should be fun. What struck me is the youth of flash and cyborb, and what I think is a general failing in the casting of actors by their age. Most of the Marvel roles are played by mature aged actors, and I think casting young adults to play roles of older characters never quite seems to fit. But to completely ruin that idea, the casting of the new Spiderman really hones in on the character's identity. And the scene with Iron Man in Civil War really created some great counter-points of reality v perception. I think I've just ranting against the cookie-cutter casting and shoe-horning of actors into roles they don't belong...
  16. Yeah I would have preferred a 'soldier by soldier' clearing mechanic rather than whole building.

    Video of the day

I visited my nations capital last week... the Australian War Memorial was a highlight with the exquisite WW1 dioramas and accidentally arriving at the end of the day and therefore being able to watch/participate in a last-post ceremony. Apparently every day, the focus on the life of a fallen soldier. Share his name, achievements, and circumstances of his death. All very moving. The next day we visited Questacon, an interactive science museum. Lots of fun. A robot sculpture of a twirling ribbon that never tangles, and metallic ball that wanders through a sand pit creating intricate patterns due to a magnet (think: zen sand garden). But this was fun, and reminded me that soon one day we will all serve robotic overlords...

Double-Feature-Movie night on the weekend... First up, Batkid Begins... the heart-warming documentary about how far a town goes to make a wish come true. All the good stuff is in the trailer, of course, but the journey was still fascinating (if self-congratulatory). Then a turkey of a movie... Red Faction: Origins. This is a classic example of a terrible video game movie... Ugh... just awful. I feel sooooo sorry for Robert Patrick. Who portrayed perhaps one of the most iconic & memorable villains of all time... and hasn't translated that fame into a decent role since. He deserves better.

    Now Playing - Games

Lego: The Force Awakens Lego Dimensions: Midway arcade level pack SW: Battlefront PVZ:GW2 ^Xbone Clash Royale ^Android I'm not very good, but I really enjoy the simple mp aspects of Clash Royale. I especially like the idea that battles happen in real time and not when I'm asleep like what I have seen on the clash-of-clans and it's many clones. Stuck at arena 4.
  21. Everyone is raving/hyping up the ultimate edition... I'm sure it will make the film better, but I doubt it will 'fix' it.
