Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

To be honest I'm way more excited to see the latter part of this season of SW Rebels. But I like how Rogue One ties in to the Rebels animated series and even back to The Clone Wars series with things like one of the old side characters returning as one of the main cast in the movie. So that's something I'm interested in seeing play out. Though I prefer the clone war timeline primarily, so I'm not much of a Vader fan nor the post-Republic era, it's just another movie for me.

I'd also like to thank Zee Hypnotist and Nmenth for all of the inspirational content they've posted to CNCNZ.com over the years inspiring me to create my own C&C themed fan fiction. I hope this project lives up to everyone's expectations!

    Tiberian Daylight

Yes it's a bit of an online mess at the moment. I'll look into remedying the situation further with the dead-end links and all that.

    Tiberian Daylight

SO, WHAT HAPPENED TO TIBERIAN DAYLIGHT? An overdue update. It's been quite a while since I updated this thread, and I've only recently noticed that I never actually explained why that is. The short version is that I've been going through a lot of important personal changes and challenges in life (from 2015 and onward) which pushed me off this project's desired path. I only completely finished a total of 13 episodes, but had more or less planned out about 20 for a first "season", some of which are still partially shot/edited. I feel like I ought to at least get it out there that I'd honestly really like to continue where I left off with the comic, but am not currently in a good position to do so. My only camera dying after so many years of use and the replacement one no longer being available are also some technical issues that have been here for a while. My smartphone won't cut it in terms of picture quality and personal equipment preference. A lot of things got me off track. This stuff happens, of course, and I turned my focus to more important matters at the time. Hopefully it all gets sorted out in the future and I can resume making more of this thing if my motivation holds up. No promises though. It's also worth noting that the small online community I was part of building up was shut down a while back, so a lot of my links in this thread no longer lead to the comics and related pages. Hence why the comic's online status and readability is a bit hectic these days. Luckily for anyone still interested, Zee stepped in and rehosted all 13 released episodes on his personal site. The webcomic can be fully enjoyed right here on ZeeHive.net! Like I said, can't make any promises but I've really been thinking about getting the other episodes finished once I acquire a new camera in the future. The creative process is a really fun and worthwhile ride. A sincere thank you to anyone who is still interested in this little fan project. Ideally, this probably hopefully won't be the last you hear of it considering I had some surprises lined up but never got to show them off in their full LEGO glory. We'll see in time. And that's that, not much more to add really.
  6. If anyone wants to play BF2: PR with Zee and myself, along with other people from W3D Hub, check out this thread for the details: https://secure.w3dhub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=415861

  7. Tropico 5 is a great game if you ignore the good parts of the old games that didn't make it in. Played quite a lot of it, most notably the sandbox and making my perfect island paradise country. Love the series. I played the original two back in the day too.
  8. Perhaps people missed posts where BHP stated they have shut down and switched APB Delta over to W3D Hub so it might help avoid further confusion to bump it up a bit and direct players to the site that hosts the games now. No harm done.
  9. This is all very troubling.

    GameFront closing - file locations

Everyone make sure to reupload anything you save to ModDB since they're offering such a service to rehost files.

    GameFront closing - file locations

Does anyone know any dedicated teams working on saving specific filefronts? PW, if you find out someone has an operation for a specific game, try and list it in so we know not to worry "too much" and can prioritize on other less popular ones.

    Any good screen recording software

CyberFaction you could also take a look at something like Dxtory (which youtubers like TotalBiscuit use). Here's a random comparisson video of Fraps, Dxtory and ShadowPlay. Lots of options to choose from - . Hopefully some of these suggestions help you out. I know jumping into screen recording is a tricky path. On a side note, Plokite_Wolf you might want to try wording your comments in a way that doesn't make you sound overly superior or otherwise with a "negative charge" per say. I'd just like to point out that you can come across as sort of an online know-it-all bully at times with the way you tend to communicate with others without being aware of the full picture at times nor the specific situation of an individual you are trying to converse with. I don't know if you notice these things so hopefully me bringing it up could help you better understand your own way of publicly speaking and avoid any misunderstandings in the future.
  13. Hey CyberFaction! Good to see a new face around! Have fun exploring our content and participating around the C&C community!

Einstein and the speed of light

The duration of the radio signal is something to consider. How many times does, say, a short message repeat in relation to his speed and how many times does it hit him. The other side of this problem is (besides the audio output speed with the accelerated human) does the message make sense if it's constantly arriving at vast speeds in a linguistic/grammar way or is it jumbled to infinity.
  15. Bluehell Productions has ceased official support for APB which directs all updates to the game to be handled through W3D Hub software and services. Pushwall, as staff at W3D Hub, has creative control of course. A lot of the people that founded and built up W3D Hub invested years into APB (right?), so I look at it as a re-merge of sorts as far as I understand it. Every project has a person or group in charge of creative control/direction, so I see no point in discerning between W3D Hub's devs (which invested a lot of years into projects such as APB) and BHP's devs of which some are going their own ways now that APB is finished - it's the coming together of a fractured community and I hope everyone is as happy to see that happen as the W3D community is. APB is just like any other project with a core team and a supporting team behind it, simple as that, right? At least, how I've come to see it as a person who has only been in the W3D community for a bit over a year or so. I'm happy with how things have finally come around and everyone is working to better the W3D engine world. I didn't see you mention this on the W3D Hub forum so I'll assume you did privately to some of the devs if that's bothering you or anyone else. Some extra elaboration might be needed then. Perhaps try not to tell neutral sites that something is missleading but go to the source so such things can be corrected if any faults are found in presented news. As far as I've seen, BHP devs were involved in such announcements and even FRAYDO posted some big news as part of W3D Hub if I recall correctly.

Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens

Everyone, although it probably won't impact the newest movie much, don't forget that after the expanded universe lore was pushed aside the only canon material remaining is the movies themselves and The Clone Wars and Rebels 3D animated TV series'. The writers are not just going off the old movies to avoid confusion, they're going off of the recent animated series as part of the universe as well (about 9 seasons total). If anyone is interested in watching what else is now part of the saga, get in on the animated series' (TCW gets pretty dark by the end of it, while Rebels just recently started out).
  19. W3D Hub developers always have their hands full with work on the well-known Red Alert 2: Apocalypse Rising, which brings us to its latest development update. Work on in-game structures such as the Allied Airforce Command HQ and building interiors are progressing nicely, along with new concept art exploration and various efforts to improve character models along with other in-game assets. One of the more notable additions to AR is definitely the inclusion of objective markers which help players find weak spots in enemy buildings. Other neat gameplay mechanics such as new ore storage capacity indicators for anyone doing some in-game ore mining are also welcome additions! Lastly, the AR team is currently recruiting possible new developers as well as testers, so don't hesitate to take a look at what they need - you just might be the right person for the job! Go here to check out the full update and recruitment information!
  20. Following the great success of the last one, W3D Hub is organizing yet another game night featuring the latest version of Tiberian Sun: Reborn where you can play and talk with the developers. The event is set to start on the 4th of October (Sunday) at 8pm GMT / 9pm BST, and all you have to do in order to participate is download the game and hop onto the main server. For more information on the upcoming TSR game night read the official announcement. For everyone's time management needs there is also a provided countdown timer located here.
  21. A poll like this containing only W3D engine games and projects would make much more sense and wouldn't work against them at that.
  22. Pardon my interruption, but isn't it an unfair advantage to list a non-W3D engine game along side three of them? Regardless of the player counts, it's like saying UDK vs. W3D while making sure the old games look even older and much more beaten down that they should. I hope I'm wrong though, but my point still stands. The poll seems somewhat biased and a bit contradictory to promoting all C&C projects and keeping them alive - it could very well result in a form of "bad publicity" for the W3D projects in the eyes of people who either don't even know about them, or just follow Renegade X because it's "more modern and graphics-ey". Think about it, asking people if they play more of their smartphone games or on their old cellphones, doesn't make a lot of sense. Each has its own joys to give to a player. I understand the poll's intent, but I don't know what exact purpose it'll serve because it's evident that Renegade X has been getting a lot of newer publicity and activity over the years, demographics aside, while W3D engine games are advancing more compactly and can't get featured in modern magazines or whatever due to not being "hot news" and so on.
