  1. Sonic, there is so much you probably don't even know about all of this (neither do I, actually). And this news post looks oddly in favour of BHP, indirectly calling out W3D Hub. Go jump over to W3D or get in a real one-on-one discussion with some of the people from over there if you want the full story which often gets kicked aside in favour of talking about the all-so-interesting "shady work" that was done. People should be more interested in why both TSR and AR left, not how they handled it. W3D staff are doing what they can to remedy the situation. Smoke screens should not be seen as something to concentrate on, but rather the situation they hide inside of them. I've seen BHP posts - why are they suddenly so unprofessional in public? The answer could very well be internal drama. I've been speaking to people who know a lot more about all of this and we have no right to accuse W3D Hub and continue to point towards the messy rise of their site. What's done is done. I'm not for dividing the community, but this obviously had to be done. W3D even extended both hands to remedy the situation and are offering options like BHP servers being included on their launcher (more exposure) and everything they can to help the community survive this, for the sake of C&C. Why are we not pointing out things like that in news posts? BHP changelong - unprofessional and probably a frustration vent. (?) One Winged Angel's statements from this discussion are an important factor to note in all of this. That's all I'll say on the matter, since I don't want to jump into something I'm not fully aware of. I hope we can all get over this and continue with keeping C&C alive in our own ways. EDIT: BHP still has a big TSR Titan in the background on their main site among other things. A bit hypocritical? In any case, these things should get sorted out in the near future - nobody wants a modding scene cold war on their hands.

Thank you for the offer! I'm currently fine with having a few threads on various fansites while keeping a Facebook album open on my group's page. If anything changes and I need some additional help, I'll keep you in mind. You may be right, I should change the HD to HQ or something more precise. I'll get on that soon. And yes, Sonic was kind enough to offer up CNCNZ resources to help support the project. I've decided to leave things as they are for the time being. Though, I'll probably explore the possibility of the website/blog option sometime in the future if everything holds up. Also, thanks to everyone for their comments and support! I've also gotten some more technical feedback on how to make the comic more fluid in it's readability. It's currently made to be read Left -> Right, Up -> Down, but as some of you may have noticed, #6 didn't follow this rule due mistakes in picture taking. People read the second dialog lines first and the initial ones second in three of the panels. So that's something I have to work on, I'm still learning everything as I go along and that's why I greatly appreciate any feedback people give me.

    Various Game Fixes

As we've seen through Open Beta 1-2-3, the introductory videos in Renegade X are a must watch every time you start the game up. It would be great if the devs over at Totem Arts decide to enable introduction skipping by some means (via the options menu or just pressing ESC). Ofcourse, a mandatory intro video viewing on your first game startup is reasonable, but every time? Come on! Until such updates arrive (if the devs decide to address this matter) there have been a few know fixes which were talked about in CNCNZ's chatbox and on the Renegade X official forums, so I would just like to write them down over here so anyone having trouble can easily find them in case the info we stated earlier gets lost (along with any other cool little edits). It's worth mentioning that this thread could very well be used to cover various game edits and fixes that arise and have all of them documented for furthur use at the same time with no extra effort. If anyone has any similar issues or can help enlighten the rest of us to such helpful new options, please don't hesitate to write down helpful info and small edit proceedures. Any more small fixes we should know about? Post helpful information below to keep everyone informed or ask for assistance if you need help with technical issues like the ones mentioned above!

That's an enhancement option I always wanted to try out with this kind of work. Guess it work out pretty well! Oh, almost forgot... Episode #6 is here! Get in on the final episode of the repair mission story arc! I'm going to take a brake from making these for a few days. I hope everyone liked the story arc conclusion! Next up - GDI!

    Tiberian Daylight

Noted. I've included an episode list in the first post of this thread. I'll update the list whenever a new episode arrives in addition to the usual update posts. You can also keep track of Tiberian Daylight's progress via Facebook - the photo album offers a nice way to move from comic to comic but at the cost of viewing quality, which is why HD links are provided there aswell. I'm using the term "HD" as a quick way to point towards a full resolution high quality image.

Do you have an IRC Client?

Haven't used IRC, though I remember some of the guys from W3D Hub were recently using it to send messages into a Tiberian Sun Reborn match from outside the game. So I figured it's still not that uncommon in today's C&C community.
  7. Thanks to CNCNZ.com for promoting the project! As Sonic already pointed out, everyone can feel free to check out Tiberian Daylight and join in on sharing your thoughts about the series! Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Also, Episode #5 was recently released and it's definitely the most action-packed episode yet! The Nod repair mission story arc should be concluded in the next episode (coming soon), and after that it's on to GDI's point of view!

Episode #5! Will Lucky and Chems make it? On to the bridge!

    Tiberian Daylight

It's Existor's C&C 2013 font, a recreated and modified MiedingerMedium. It was posted some time ago on CNCNZ (this thread), but you can also find it on his Deviant Art profile.
  10. Nice, the dark blues in tandem with the orange titles give a nice background contrast. A few changes here and there never hurt.

    Tiberian Daylight

The overdue Episode #4 is here!
  12. So much for EA's do-not-distribute content warning.

    Tiberian Daylight

And here's Episode #3! Enjoy! Just a reminder that you can follow Tiberian Daylight's progress via Ghost Reactive's Facebook page.

    Tiberian Daylight

Perhaps I didn't use the correct words. It isn't something that points towards CNCNZ directly, more like a reference to a certain project that is hosted here. It's kind of a test to see who remembers the little things from the old days, which in this case means remembering something a bit more specific (and funny). Plokite_Wolf spotted it, so it's not completely undetectable I guess.

    Tiberian Daylight

Episode #2 is out! I wonder if anyone will notice a certain CNCNZ-related reference.

New Look CNCNZ.com is Now Live

Very sleek, I like it! The dark blue and orange contrasts really make it pop. I'm sure you've noticed, but the navigation dropdown menus overlap with the circle buttons which operate image selection on the index slideshow. EDIT: The same dropdown menus have a slight delay before being removed from sight after the mouse pointer moves away from them, could use some adjusting.
  17. Most likely starting up a new LEGO project for 2015! :)

    1. PurpleGaga27

I was wondering as of now, the series may have been discontinued?

    Cartoon and Conquer #99

I'm really going to miss these guys. Please consider making a zip/rar download pack containing all of the comics from your series once you hit the last episode.

    My Departure

Feels like an end of an era for me. Zee's early work got me into this site in the first place back when Saracen was still around. Best of luck to him and I'll be sure to follow his future projects. Lets keep all of the closed projects in an archived section as Nmenth suggested. It would really be a shame to lose all of that - much of CNCNZ's history in those threads.
  20. s this a new map they forgot to mention or something along those lines?
  21. The options in the poll don't quite match up to the situation at hand. As PW said they were full of useless threads but a lot of good things were kept there. The real question the poll should have asked is how do we feel about how EA is handling the situation, because closing down the forums without any notice isn't the way to go, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. I've already made my thoughts clear in the other news threads on this matter.
  22. As you just stated, it's an EA paradox. Not much else to add to that.
  23. All of that only shows how little they care. We can't just let them treat the fanbase like that, even if it has become "normal", albeit it's not like a large portion of the fans even knows about it nor cares enough to stop sending money towards EA - the only way to really make them think about what they've done in my opinion. Just remembered this video, kind of fitting:
  24. That doesn't justify not posting some kind of warning that the forum was about to close for all of the users which had various content over there. A small notice at least a week before the closure would have been enough for everyone to backup their content and exchange contact info with other people they met there.
  25. There is simply no excuse for throwing away all of the content that was on the official forum without any kind of upcoming forum closure notice so everyone could back up their data, files and contacts in due time. This has reached a new level of bulls*** and EA has dug itself a very deep grave. Just wait and see how sometime in the future they apologize with free stuff and all that crap and everyone instantly forgives them as usual, that is IF they apologize for "any inconvenience caused by our blablabla". I hope people don't fall for that crap again like they always do. I'm at a loss for words, this is ONE BIG middle finger towards the C&C community and nothing can redeem them in my eyes. Also, I'd like to remind everyone that they were so incompetent that they had pre-release Beta edited screenshots on their old C&C history of games tab - another clear sign that they don't even know what the older games actually looked like. EA JUST DOESN'T GIVE A F***! So quick, give them more money, buy Battlefield to support them or some other crap they hyper-market. They have absolutely no respect for the C&C fanbase and care only about one thing - money, money and even more truckloads of money. /end of angry EA rant
