  1. On the Official C&C Site, a preview about the upcoming October patch for current alpha build of the new Command & Conquer has been posted. It goes into detail discussing the revised "Perks System". Previously, perks were tied to your level with a specific faction, which in turn allowed you to purchase perks from multiple categories. The development team decided this method was not very intuitive and have made it more streamlined. With the new system, the aim is to give players greater control over General customization, as well as further emphasizing the uniqueness of each individual General. Click here to read the full post.
  2. The C&C team has just revealed a new General for the EU - Salvo, the EU Artillery General. Relying on the Trident Rocket Artillery and Howitzer defense, Salvo specializes in long-range combat and flattening enemy forces and defenses before moving in to finish off what remains of his enemies. Below is a short excerpt of his backstory. To read the complete profile and learn more about this General, including his exclusive arsenal and powers, click here.

It is based on the loading screen from the original C&C Generals. Available in 1920x1200 (16:10) and 1920x1080 (16:9) resolutions. Click here for the download. Existor will be making another wallpaper for the EU soon.
  5. Since the NDA for the new Command & Conquer has been lifted, there's probably going to be lots of new videos popping up from the pool of current alpha testers. So if you're eager to see more gameplay, here's one from Stefan Brand on YouTube. It features some PvE gameplay using the APA General Blackjack, complete with stealth tank abilities and more. If anyone finds more gameplay videos of the new Command & Conquer, please let us know.
  6. Generals Gentlemen, a Zero Hour commentator duo from GameReplays.org, have uploaded a video giving us a first look at the new Command & Conquer, taking advantage of the recently lifted NDA. Here, they show the game mechanics while playing a 1v1 online game and give their opinions on them. http://www.youtube.com/watch?fv=mcPM2vfY-iQ You can find more videos showing the game on YouTube, like the one by , but this one gives a more critical and professional approach from the people who've devoted their attention to the original Generals. Keep in mind that everything you see in these videos is subject to change.
  7. Good news for those who like to hang out on the Official Command & Conquer Forums. They have been relaunched using the IP.Board forum software, the same forum software we use here at CNCNZ.com. The point is, the relaunched official forums are far more functional and user-friendly than the previous incarnation. Check out the new and improved Official Command & Conquer Forums for yourself.
  8. Earlier today, an announcement on the official Command & Conquer forums was made, stating that the Non-Disclosement Agreement (NDA), which prevented leaking of any information regarding the game, save for explicitly permitted aspects, has been lifted! It is now safe to talk about literally anything about the game without fear. In other news, French and Russian localizations have been completed and two new generals, GLA Engineer and APA Espionage, have been announced to arrive later this year. Alright, generals, many of us still do not have access to the game, so let it rip!
  9. The Community BattleCast Primetime team is putting the finishing touches on their next episode, but before that, they decided to upload their interview with EA_CIRE they recorded at this year's CommandCOM. They asked him about the singleplayer campaigns, which will be released in several smaller packs in shorter periods of time and will be available for both solo and co-op play, making a difference from Red Alert 3, where co-op was forced and had to be played either with the AI or a friend. Stay tuned for an update on CBCPT Episode 23.

The full results of this poll can be found right here

  15. Last month, gamescom, one of the biggest gaming conventions of the year, took place and with it, CommandCom. I, Alex06 of CNCNZ.com, was lucky enough to have EA fly me to Germany to participate in this massive community event. During said event, we met and talked with developers and our fellow community leaders (Official C&C and C&C fansite admins, staff and forum moderators), played the latest build of the upcoming free to play Command & Conquer game, took part in feedback sessions with the developers and went on a boat cruise, notably. As a result, I have produced a report to share my experience with you. But that's not all - This report not only contains details about my 3 and a half days in Cologne, Germany, but also new and exclusive information about the next C&C game and its development, which you won't be able to find anywhere else! More after the break. Here's a short snippet: Click this link to read the entire report.

Officially the font is called "Miedinger Medium" and you need to pay for it if you want a copy. But this special version is not only free, but it includes some changes with the letters and symbols, which you can see sample below. Download this font file right here. Great for your own fan art and projects.
  21. @Existor has created a great looking wallpaper based around the APA's logo from the new Command & Conquer.
