  1. Is it possible to edit or add new strike forces to the game that the AI will use? I'd like to see the AI attack you with 25 flame tanks or 10 devastator warships strke forces so that it becomes a real challenge for the player. I have never modded this game before but I can certaintly give it a shot if someone can point me to the files I need to edit.
  2. Ok so after having problems with the steam version of C&C3 and Kane's wrath i decided to buy the Ultimate collector's edition of Command and conquer games. I installed all of the games and then downloaded the launcher mod and Tiberium essence for C&C3 and gave it a spin. It works well on Ultra settings and at Full FPS. But then comes Kane's wrath. I start playing the first mission at same Settings as C&C3. The Game is slow it moves at a snail pace. I tried one of the skirmish maps and it was also painfully slow. What is going on? My computer can run Red alert 3 and C&C3 on full settings at full speed. It can run Battlefield 1 at a Medium settings on playable speed. And I can play Company of Heroes 2 at full settings at playable speed. I even went for game debates page to test my computer on how would it play. Unsuprisingly my computer should be able to run the game without any problems. Can some one help? PC specs: Intel Core I5-4210H 2.90GHz Windows 10 64bit Nvidia Geforce GTX 860m 8GB RAM DirectX 12 Kane's wrath 1.02
  3. There's been a lot of news in the Command & Conquer community to cover, so here's a quick overview of what's going on: The first release of the Red Alert 3 version of the Generals 2 mod has been published. Nyerguds' 1.06c patch for Command & Conquer: Gold received a hotfix (labeled update 4) that resolves a compatibility problem with CnCNet. The updated version of Kane's Wrath 1.02+ map packs, R12b, has been made available. These maps have many issues fixed, and are played by mid- and high-level players. On Saturday, February 18th, the third annual Free-For-All tournament in Kane's Wrath took place, lasting a total of six hours. Recorded live commentary by IISpartacus (joined in finals by Masterleaf) is available . Yesterday, CnCSaga.com found 7 more pieces of concept art from the cancelled Red Alert Alliances, which show that the Empire of the Rising Sun was also to appear. The CnCNet spawner code for Tiberian Sun has been made open to the public on GitHub, with the languages being C and x86 Assembler. Check out more news in our C&C Community News forum. If you have any community news of your own you want to share, feel free to send us a news tip.

  9. This week's edition of Throwback Thursday does not feature an iconic unit from the games. Instead, we look back at a unit that has been mostly forgotten in regular play. The Ravager was introduced in Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath from 2008 as an elite tier 2 assault unit for all three Scrin factions. Its special ability was Tiberium agitation, which was particularly powerful against full Harvesters, Refineries, Silos and even other Scrin Tiberium-charged units. Despite this, the Ravagers' high cost prevented them from staying long in competitive play. Remember, you can click on the preview to see a larger and more detailed image. Don't forget to check out the Throwback Thursdays archives if you've missed a week. Check back again next Thursday for another Throwback. Send in your ideas for future instalments. We also encourage you to share this on social media using the hash tags #ThrowbackThursday, #CnCTBT and #CNCNZTBT.
  10. This week's edition of Throwback Thursday features a look back at three different Command & Conquer games and the appearance of the other Kucan, not Joe, it is in fact his younger brother Daniel Kucan. Joe Kucan's brother has played three different characters over the years. First, you see him as Jake McNeil from Tiberian Sun in 1999. Next up, he was Joshua “Mitch” Mitchell, the founder of Steel Talons, in Kane’s Wrath from 2008. And then lastly he briefly appears in the GDI ending of Tiberian Twilight from 2010, as a passer by who is asked by a reporter for his opinion on Kane’s ascension, to which he says: "Kane’s gone? Yeah, right!" and walks away.
  11. Another Steam sale of Command & Conquer games is upon us! Until the end of the weekend, you can grab Tiberium Wars, Kane's Wrath, Red Alert 3, Uprising and Tiberian Twilight for €2,49 each. However, if you choose to buy the entire bundle, you can have it for €9,35. This is your chance of getting that game you're missing, commanders. NOTE: The Steam release of Kane's Wrath explicitly requires the Steam release of Tiberium Wars to work.
  12. A very active weekend is coming up for C&C tournaments. There is a Zero Hour tournament on Friday at 14:00 GMT which will take place in Dubai and is organized by Que Club, a prominent gaming, café and billiard club in the United Arab Emirates, and the total prize pool is approximately 870 USD! The livestream will be shown here. Next up, GameReplays.org will be hosting three tournaments: Tiberium Wars - The Battle of the Titans 2 (1v1) - Saturday, 13:00 GMT, total prize pool of 150 USD Red Alert 3 (1.12.5) - FTW #39 (1v1) - Saturday, 14:00 GMT, total prize pool of 75 USD Kane's Wrath (1.02+) - Pair of Steel (2v2) - Sunday, 12:00 GMT, total prize pool of 300 USD There's still time to sign up for the latter three. It's great to see people still enjoy C&C multiplayer.
  13. Attention, mappers! GameReplays.org is hosting a Kane's Wrath World Builder Challenge. The goal is to create a good and balanced 2-player map for standard multiplayer. While enabling competitive gameplay is a priority, creativity is also welcomed. The evaluation of the maps will be made in several fields: economy, layout, symmetry and balance, lack of bugs, and the visual appearance. Entries will be accepted for 4 weeks. You can see the full set of rules here. If you do not have the Kane's Wrath Worldbuilder, you can get it here. You can also check out this helpful guide to get yourself up to speed.
  14. After a brief hiatus, Throwback Thursday returns this week with a look back to a cool scene from the cut-scenes in Kane's Wrath from 2008. Towards the end of Act I, Kane's has to shut you down, as you are playing the part of LEGION. But before he does that, Kane's leaves you with a fine Shakespearean quote.... "To sleep, perchance to dream". The sequence is short but with the clever use of an odd camera angle, Kane looks kind of creepy.
  15. The fan made Unofficial Big Bang Patch 1.04 for Kane's Wrath has been released. Despite being called a patch, its really mod that changes up the gameplay in Kane's Wrath. This "Unofficial Patch" focuses on balance and bug fixes, also adds new stuff in order to make the more than half a decade Kane's Wrath feel more refreshing. One of the main ideas of this project was to work with the community in order to create the mod they wanted. Below is a summary of the changes.... More bugs fixed New units New features (more upgrades/abilities/special powers) Some game changes More features for team work Improved Balance (many things like support powers, units, abilities, upgrades, are more useful) Improved map pack (Optional) Economic system moved back to how it was in version 1.00 The download and more information about the Kane's Wrath Unofficial Big Bang Patch can be found right here.

  18. Recently, Breakaway games, the creators of C&C 3: Kane's Wrath and BFME2: Rise of the Witch-King (among else) have revamped their website so that each game has a bit of info on them. What's interesting is their video for Kane's Wrath. This seems to be beta footage, judging by the icons for the MARV and Redeemer, strange MARV trample logic and awkward Eradicator Hexapod animations
  19. And the pick is in for C&C Music Monday this week. Its "Act On Instinct (Remix)" from the Kane's Wrath soundtrack. The will always be the best but the updated version for Kane's Wrath does it justice. As always, a new track will be posted next Monday. Share this on social media using the hash tags #CnCMusicMonday and #MusicMonday.
  20. This week's pick for C&C Music Monday is "Mechanical Mind" from the Kane's Wrath soundtrack, composed by Mikael Sandgren. When Kane's Wrath was released it was clear the music composers went back and took some inspiration from Frank Klepacki's work on past C&C games. The resulting tracks were heavier and more rock, techno based. "Mechanical Mind" is one of those tracks with it's heavy guitar riffs and solid techno beats, all mixed in with some interesting voice over samples. In some sources, "Mechanical Mind" is called the Kane's Wrath theme. A new track will be posted next Monday. Share this on social media using the hash tags #CnCMusicMonday and #MusicMonday.
  21. It has been a long time since we last changed the poll topic so lets get them started again. The new poll question is What is your favourite sub faction in Kane's Wrath? Are you loyal to the Brotherhood with either the Black Hand or Marked of Kane, perhaps your a GDI traditionalist so the Steel Talons or ZOCOM is more to your liking. Or do you favour the Scrin Reaper-17 and Traveller-59 sub factions. To vote in this poll you need to be on the main page of our site, and cast your vote in the poll box on the right side bar. You can also check the the current results in the Poll Archives. And, as always, don't forget to share any feedback or comments about this poll as well. Now to the results of the previous poll, Which of these standalone C&C indie FPS games do you play the most? 41% of the voters said they haven't played any of them, followed by Renegade X with 32%. Full results can be found in the Poll Archives.
  22. For Throwback Thursday this week we go back to Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath from 2008. Featuring the return of the Titan and the Wolverine. Since EA had a lot of plot holes and contradictions to patch up after Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars, it actually worked rather well because we got to see two of the popular GDI units from the Tiberian Sun era make their return. Both units were part of the GDI Steel Talons sub faction. The Steel Talons specialised in using untested technologies on the battlefield, it seemed odd to be using older tech like the Titan and Wolverine. But these were not same Titans and Wolverines, these are their Mk II variants, packing a bit more punch than their original counterparts. Remember, you can click on the preview to see a larger and more detailed image. Don't forget to check out the Throwback Thursdays archives if you've missed a week. Check back again next Thursday for another Throwback. Send in your ideas for future instalments. We encourage you to share this on social media using the hash tags #ThrowbackThursday, #CnCTBT and #CNCNZTBT.
