A new update has been posted over at PlayCnC. This blog takes a look at the multiplayer development of Tiberian Sun, Firestorm, Red Alert 2 and Yuri’s Revenge. Recently, the PlayCnC team has been researching, diving into network packets and finding out exactly where they stand with these games in the PlayCnC development cycle. Two weeks ago, we posted about PlayCNC, the upcoming C&C multiplayer service that aims to merge all multiplayer communities into one. Today, they have confirmed that they have partnered with the developers of CnCNet, the widely acclaimed service for Command & Conquer and Red Alert, which means that one account for PlayCNC will also work under CnCNet. An ambitious new project has been started in the Command & Conquer community. PlayCNC is new free service that aims to centralise the entire C&C multiplayer franchise. Essentially making it easier for fans to play their favourite C&C games online. It's still early days for PlayCNC, but here is their first announcement.
