  1. Even with EA doubling down on releasing their back catalogue on more digital storefronts, this news came out of left field: Tiberium Alliances, the browser game from 2012 most of us tend to even forget exists, received a Steam page. The game whose servers have outlived many core titles over the years apparently has enough of a playerbase to warrant a proper PC frontend. The release date is not yet known, nor whether a Steam account will be enough to connect or will it still depend on EA accounts.
  2. Over a month ago, the team at GVMERS, who had previously covered the fate of the cancelled FPS Tiberium, created a video on the entire C&C franchise. What you are looking at above is the corrected, definitive version - certain facts about things that happened behind the scenes in Westwood Studios, EA Pacific, EA Los Angeles and Victory Games have been proofread, and each game is now presented in higher detail, in order to better describe what made Command & Conquer what it is, in both its good and bad times. The video is now 10 minutes longer in total, so be sure to check it out!
  3. It has been announced on the Official Tiberium Alliances Site that new community forums will be opened for all fans of the browser based Command & Conquer game. Here is the announcement.... So just as it says you can expect to see these new forums on the 15th of May.

You can share feedback about these impending changes in this topic on the Tiberium Alliances Forums.
  5. Looks like more content is on the way for Tiberium Alliances players, as the first official SpeedWorld has been announced. This new type of world is focused on bringing the advanced endgame mechanics, to you a lot earlier and faster. The timers and the world size have all been adjusted to make this world as much fun and fast as possible. The world size is a limit to 1000 players only and the slots are given on a first come first serve basis. The world has a player limit of 1.000 start slots. World size massively reduced and much more compact, guaranteeing a lot more conflict zones. All timers and cool-downs have been reduced and adjusted to reflect a fast and fun gameplay. E.g Noob Protection, Move, and recovery timers etc. Forgotten Fortress Level is reduced according to the world size. Only the very first Alliance per SpeedWorld will obtain a new and special Endgame badge / achievement. World Pre-Signup will start this week Friday, 29th of April at 2pm UTC. Click here for the original announcement.

  7. In a new article the Wayward Strategist has taken a retrospective look at the Brotherhood of Nod from an artistic and visual point of view. Take a nostalgic look back through origins of Nod in Command & Conquer, how they evolved in Tiberian Sun, a return to a more classic look in Tiberium Wars and well their complete departure to wacky designs in Tiberian Twilight. There is even a part devoted to how Nod appears in Tiberium Alliances. Here's a small sample. Check out the rest of the article right here.

  9. It would appear that the official forums for Tiberium Alliances are currently off-line. And from reports we have received, they have been inaccessible since this past weekend. There is no error message from the forums when you attempt to visit them, just a blank page. The Tiberium Alliances official site is up and running though. We have not heard anything from EA or Envision Entertainment about the out of action forums. Back in January this year, the Tiberium Alliances forums basically became the official forums for everything Command & Conquer when EA made changes to the Official Command & Conquer Site. As it stands now, there are no official forums. An update will be posted if and when they return.
