A new track will be posted next Monday. And as always, don't forget to share this on social media using the hash tags #CnCMusicMonday and #MusicMonday.

An alpha release is planned for 2017, but for now, this almost 7 minute trailer will have to do. Watch it in the video above.
  7. 363 Productions, the team behind the Evolutions: Real Time Strategy Evolved mod for C&C 3: Tiberium Wars, has released the mod's first ingame trailer. While it's still very much a work in progress, and lots of assets are still shared with stock Tiberium Wars, the trailer showcases a lot of the UNSC and Covenant units that the mod developers visibly put a lot of effort into.

  12. This week's Throwback Thursday features the Harvester from Command & Conquer: Tiberium Wars in 2007. But its not really just the Harvester from that game. Its from all of them. Something we call the "Humble Harvester". It could be the Harvester from the original Command & Conquer, the Chrono Miners, the Ore Collectors, Harvesters with Machine Guns attached to them, Harvesters that teleport back to the Refinery. The Harvesters may have evolved over time, progressing from that simple four wheeled truck like vehicle with poor A.I, to far more sophisticated units later on, the premise is the same. Collect the resources and return to base. Remember, you can click on the preview to see a larger and more detailed image. Don't forget to check out the Throwback Thursdays archives if you've missed a week. Check back again next Thursday for another Throwback. Send in your ideas for future instalments. We also encourage you to share this on social media using the hash tags #ThrowbackThursday, #CnCTBT and #CNCNZTBT.
  13. For Throwback Thursday this week we continue to look back at the iconic units, and what is more iconic than Nod's Flame Tank from Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars in 2007. Brute force, combined with deadly flame turrets. Infantry never stand a chance against the intense heat. Especially effective for clearing out garrisoned buildings. The Flame Tank has been a main stay of the Brotherhood's arsenal for years. Remember, you can click on the preview to see a larger and more detailed image. Don't forget to check out the Throwback Thursdays archives if you've missed a week. Check back again next Thursday for another Throwback. Send in your ideas for future instalments. 16. I am looking for video tutorials for modifying Command & Conquer 3 for my MOD. 1) The first thing I would like, adding unit abilities. For some unknown reason, I don't seem to be able to add abilities. I've checked all spelling within documents, and I've checked paths of documents, and no errors are coming back in CMD. I want to add the Ability 'Charge Advanced Defences' to the Obelisk. It is a clone of the normal 'Charge Defences' from the Beam Cannon. My Advanced Obelisk is working fine though. 2) The second thing is regarding OCL. I have the issue of the OCL not linking up to the structure it corresponds to. Structure: MutantTiberiumSilo Unit for OCL: MutantHorde Note: I did ask about using content of the Forgotten MOD prior to usage, and the agreed units will not be added (as requested). 3) Next, the UI files. I want to add three new factions: CCS, Forgotten and UN How do add the UI's for these new factions without removing the Original files for the Original Factions. Further requests will be added soon.
  17. Throwback Thursday this week returns to the "Iconic Units" series focusing on the Obelisk of Light from Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars in 2007. Although it's not exactly a unit in the game. The Obelisk has been a main stay of Nod's defensive arsenal since first Tiberium War. It's appearance has changed slightly over the years but it's fire-power has not. All approaching ground based enemies fear that charging up sound as it prepares to fire. In Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars the Obelisk gained the ability to detect stealth units and link up with Beam Cannons for an overcharged firing mode.
  18. Another iconic unit is featured in this week's edition of Throwback Thursday. Its the GDI Juggernaut from Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars in 2007. The Juggernaut first appeared in Tiberian Sun, but it was an improved version seen in Tiberium Wars. When the GDI needed long range bombardment, the Juggernaut was called upon to provide it. Armed with three powerful cannons, Juggernauts pick off their unsuspecting targets from long distance. But it's not the abilities of this unit that make it so memorable. It's the cool unit response that it had, such as "I'm the Juggernaut!". And some of the most unique idle animations ever created. When left idle, the Juggernaut would sometimes peck the ground like a chicken or scratch the cockpit with one of its legs similar to a cat scratching its chin. Remember, you can click on the preview to see a larger and more detailed image. Don't forget to check out the Throwback Thursdays archives if you've missed a week. Check back again next Thursday for another Throwback. Send in your ideas for future instalments. 21. This week's edition of Throwback Thursday looks back to the first time we got to see Westwood's vision of what was then called Command & Conquer 3, this was way back in 2004. At the time EA were developing their Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth games. During the Battle for Middle Earth community summit at EALA in August 2004, an amazing image showing an alien invasion got leaked. It first appeared as a photo taken by someone when they spotted it on a monitor at EALA, it then went on to cause a major buzz through out the entire C&C community. A few years later we got the high quality version on the image, and many more. It was later confirmed they were indeed from Command & Conquer 3, Westwood's original concept for what was apparently meant to be called "Tiberian Incursion". Of course this version of C&C 3 never got past the early concept and design stages, and by 2006, EALA had a different plan in mind for their Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars. Remember, you can click on the preview to see a larger and more detailed image. Don't forget to check out the Throwback Thursdays archives if you've missed a week. Check back again next Thursday for another Throwback. Send in your ideas for future instalments. 23. We are going back to multiple years for this week's Throwback Thursday. Many of the Command & Conquer games began life with a different logo to what see on the box covers for them today. During the alpha/beta stages of development of the original Command & Conquer in 1994, the game featured a slightly different logo. We don't know what made Westwood change it though. Fast forward to 1999/2000, Red Alert 2 was announced featuring an odd looking logo, it was soon changed one that matched the first Red Alert logo. In 2001, Yuri's Revenge was announced with a simplistic looking design, this was also changed later to fit with the Red Alert 2 style. In 2006 when Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Was was revealed, EA used a very different looking C&C logo, with a modernised twist and a big green stylised number 3 behind it. The logo was redesigned some months later and looked much better. In 2008, Red Alert 3 was announced sporting a very eye catching logo, complete with backwards lettering to go with the game's Russian artwork theme. The logo was changed to a more simple looking one though. But I think it would have been cool to keep the first one. Of all these unused logos for C&C games, which one looks the best to you? Remember, you can click on the preview to see a larger and more detailed image. Don't forget to check out the Throwback Thursdays archives if you've missed a week. Check back again next Thursday for another Throwback. Send in your ideas for future instalments. We encourage you to share this on social media using the hash tags #ThrowbackThursday, #CnCTBT and #CNCNZTBT.

  25. In a new article the Wayward Strategist has taken a retrospective look at the Brotherhood of Nod from an artistic and visual point of view. Take a nostalgic look back through origins of Nod in Command & Conquer, how they evolved in Tiberian Sun, a return to a more classic look in Tiberium Wars and well their complete departure to wacky designs in Tiberian Twilight. There is even a part devoted to how Nod appears in Tiberium Alliances. Here's a small sample. Check out the rest of the article right here.
