    Livestreams by Hecthor Doomhammer

Hello every one, my name is Hecthor Doomhammer and welcome to another strea...... ... Wait, I'm not streaming now. Any way. For those who don't know it yet, I do livestreams of a couple of C&C mods, such as Mental Omega, YR: Red-Resurrection, Attacque Supérior and Generals: Rise of the Reds on my twitch channel The streams usually last for 2 hours per stream. In this topic I will post updates on when I stream which mod. Mental Omega is done currently on Wednesdays at 18:00 GMT (daylight saving) together with Zenothist, who streams on The mentalmeisters channel and if your connection is up to it, you can view both streams side by side on our shared Kadgar basically allowing you to view the streams from 2 different perspectives, as Zenothist and myself are always observing/playing in the same games. Of course you as players are more than welcome to jump into our hosted games. YR: Red-Resurrection, Attacque Supérior and Colony Wars are done on Fridays, also at 18:00 GMT (daylight saving). YR: Red-Resurrection is publicly available here which means you can join us as players on stream. Usually I try to stream this mod once per month. If demand gets high enough, this might change in the future, Attacque Supérior is currently not available to the public, so the streams that we do of it, are basically a showcase of progress Graion Dilach makes in his mod. And once this mod is released to the public, of course you can jump in as players. I try to stream this mod once per month, but it depends on the progress that has been made in between streams, so there is a chance that in a given month there will not be an AS stream. Colony Wars made its debut on July 11th 2014 on my channel Because it's still in Pre-alpha stage, it's not available to the public and just as with Attacque Supérior, we'll try to bring something new to showcase with every stream as development continues and hopefully I'll stream this once per month as well. On other Fridays on occasion, I do stream Mental Omega. I usually have a different co-commentator, or even multiple co-commentators and during these streams, I tend to me more laid back, relaxed and I may even play different background music. Generals: Rise of the Reds is streamed on Sundays, at either 13:00 GMT or 14:00 GMT, depending on who my co-commentator is (daylight savings) and these streams are of the internal beta 1,85, which currently doesn't have a scheduled public release. In the future, once this version does get released, most streams will revolve around 1,85, but I've received word that from time to time I'll end up doing a pre-release 2.0 stream, to showcase new stuff. In the info section of my channel, which you can find below the video window, I have posted lots of information about what I stream, when I stream and some of the images will lead to different links. So please take your time to look around and click on those images and links I've posted there. One very important link is the Schedule and Countdown which I update after every stream, given I know what I end up streaming next, which shows you a countdown on when the next stream is. I also have a Facebook page where I always post updates on anthing related to streams o videos I make. Also, my Twitter is always up to date on what's going on. I even have my own subforum on SWR Productions (forum currently down) where I post all sorts of updates, and where you can ask questions and give feedback. Lastly, my Youtube channel is where all streams, except for some Friday MO streams, are uploaded as well. So I hope to see you all on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Hecthor Doomhammer The Chinese Generals betrayed Mother Russia with an agenda of their own, signing a pact with the Pacific Front, and as expected, Mother Russia didn't like it. And how does Mother Russia show that she doesn't like something? Bomb it with tonnes of Kirov's! Hopefully Zenothist's connection has been fixed (I've been told it has been) so join me and Zenothist for another multi stream on my channel if you just wanna hang out on my chat, or, if your connection is up for it, on kadgar on wednesday June 11th 2014 at 18:00 GMT. Countdown to when the stream starts See you all then!
  4. Another quick overview of recent interesting events: Red Alert: A Path Beyond has been updated to version recently, which not only sports a new interface and a usual array of bug and balance fixes, but also new units (MiG, Cruiser), new models for others, and MSAA support. The PC Gamer article on the beloved Mental Omega APYR mod is now finally readable internationally online. Check it out here. Gamasutra announced that Westwood Studios co-founder and proclaimed Godfather of RTS Louis Castle will be holding an hour-long(!) post-mortem presentation on the original Command & Conquer at the GDC next March.
  5. The beloved Mental Omega APYR mod for Yuri's Revenge has been updated to version 3.3.4! This release makes use of Ares DLL 2.0, and includes 8 new Covert Ops missions, one new Foehn Origins mission, 19 new skirmish/multiplayer maps, one new Challenge map, and a whole range of bug fixes, mission tweaks, and balance changes. You can read the full changelog here! If you already have an earlier version of Mental Omega that is 3.3.0 or newer, simply launch the client and let it update automatically, or use this manual update package. If you don't have it installed yet, first install the 3.3.0 distribution and then apply the aforementioned update package, and don't forget the optional, but highly recommended soundtrack files!
  6. After a long wait, version 3.3.3 of the beloved Yuri's Revenge mod Mental Omega APYR has been released. Aside from technical improvements like Ares 1.0 integration and a new renderer option (DDrawCompat), this release brings new missions (including 3 of 4 Foehn origin story missions), the new Whipray ship for Foehn, the Quick Fort support power for Scorpion Cell, new maps, the long-awaited map editor FinalAlert 2: Mental Omega, ability to change hotkeys, a statistics screen, rebalances, bugfixes, and loads more. Seriously, just check the changelog, there's a lot of important changes. The patch is available for download on ModDB. If you haven't installed it yet, you will require the base 3.3.0 release, and don't forget to grab the soundtrack files as well.
  7. The results are in for the Players' Choice part of this year's Mod of the Year and Indie of the Year awards in the Released category, which was, however, scheduled for Friday. In the Mod of the Year, the C&C community was made proud once again - we got Twisted Insurrection in 3rd place and Dawn of the Tiberium Age (both for Tiberian Sun, standalone) in 8th place. Honourable mentions went to Mental Omega APYR (for Yuri's Revenge), Contra, Rise of the Reds (both for Zero Hour), and Tiberium Essence (for Tiberium Wars). In the Indie of the Year awards, no C&C-related projects made it. Congratulations go to all C&C projects in this year's awards in all categories!
  8. Today, it has been announced that Mental Omega APYR, the largest and most popular Yuri's Revenge mod, will implement Ares version 1.0 upon release as of patch 3.3.3. This will, among else, mean that Mental Omega will finally have proper support for saving and loading games, same as all other Yuri's Revenge mods that will use this version of Ares. It is still being developed, and AlexB is distributing preliminary builds to testers (which are not to be used in published mods), while the ETA for Ares 1.0 and Mental Omega 3.3.3 is still unknown.
  9. Patch 3.3.1 has been released for the Mental Omega APYR mod for C&C Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge. This update brings bugfixes (including fixing the crash that occured when trying to launch any mission for some players), balance changes, a new naval unit for all Epsilon subfactions - the Nautilus, new maps, new challenge maps, more Act Two campaign missions (save for the Foehn). Read the full changelog here. You can download the patch here or use the launcher to do it for you.
  10. The long-awaited version 3.3 of Mental Omega APYR has been released some hours ago. This release introduces the fourth faction - the Foehn Revolt, with its own unique techtree, missions (TBD in an update) and soundtrack (by World Beyond). Also included are new missions and units for existing sides, new maps, CnCNet 5.0 compatibility, new multiplayer/skirmish game modes (14 in total!), new stolen tech units, and more. You can download the mod from this link, and the new soundtrack is available as well. Please note that version 3.0 must be uninstalled or moved before installing version 3.3.
  11. The Mental Omega APYR mod for Yuri's Revenge has received yet another unit showcase video. This one is more focused on aircraft and stolen tech units, one of the latter being the return of the rejected Westwood design and a once popular addition to Yuri's Revenge mods - the Allied Chrono Prison. As an icing on the cake, the last unit is an insanely powerful Haihead (Foehn subfaction) vehicle visibly inspired by the M.A.D. Tank from Red Alert: The Aftermath.
  12. The Mental Omega APYR mod for Yuri's Revenge has recently received another unit showcase video. In this one, we can see some more units for the new Foehn side and its subfactions, some updates and new entries for existing sides and new stolen tech units. There is even a logic from C&C Generals on display in one of the units - all of this provided by the Ares DLL.
  13. In this week's edition of Throwback Thursday, we take a look at a unit design which took three concept stages to reach a final game, and was even featured in a mod in the meanwhile. The Centurion Siege Walker was first imagined during the development of Red Alert 2 as a Soviet unit, but apart from two concepts in two camo versions, it never appeared in the game and was apparently not considered for Yuri's Revenge. In the Premier Edition DVD of Red Alert 3, a slightly redesigned version can be seen, but it was again omitted from the game itself, and in 2009, it finally managed to "crawl" to the fans as the Reaper unit in Red Alert 3: Uprising. It has also been prominently featured in the Mental Omega mod for many years, even in the 2.0 days! Remember, you can click on the preview to see a larger and more detailed image. Don't forget to check out the Throwback Thursdays archives if you've missed a week. Check back again next Thursday for another Throwback. Send in your ideas for future instalments. We also encourage you to share this on social media using the hash tags #ThrowbackThursday, #CnCTBT and #CNCNZTBT.
  14. While we're waiting for the next release of the Mental Omega APYR mod, labeled version 3.3, the developers have begun making unit showcase videos to show us what's new in each faction's arsenal. The first video focuses on the new Foehn Revolt faction, as well as two new stolen tech units for the Allies and Epsilon. Some of these units use mechanics previously unseen in Red Alert 2 or its mods, leading to impressive results.
