  1. A year and a half after its original release, The Red Alert mod for Red Alert 3 received its second patch! This release is focused on bug fixes, gameplay enhancements and AI improvements. Here's a shortened changelog: Fixed Demo truck targeting issue Fixed co-commander objective complete EVA event Increased Demolition Truck damage range from 150 to 250 (the same range as the normal nuke) Removed build progress bar from refineries England now correctly receives its country bonuses Destroyed Soviet tanks now also spawn surviving crew Spy plane can be shot down Mammoth tank tusk weapon is slightly less accurate Known issues: It is sometimes impossible to start a skirmish game: the players screen is greyed out. Fix: Try removing the Skirmish.ini file from Red Alert 3's App Data folder The Nuke falling animation does not show the nuclear missile. Old service depot behavior is still present to maintain AI compatibility. The patch comes in two versions - a standalone release (409 MB) for those who haven't downloaded it before or have lost it, and the patch (10 MB) that requires the mod to be already installed. The download pages also have the full changelog, so be sure to check that out.

  4. The long wait is over. CNC Labs have released version 1.0 of The Red Alert mod for Red Alert 3. This mod is based directly off the seminal Red Alert's art and gameplay. While not aiming to model realism, the mod instead endeavours to recreate the essence of the original title. The Red Alert will bring the addictive heart-pounding gameplay of this C&C classic to a world-class 3D engine, complete with all the original units, including those from the Aftermath expansion. Visit The Red Alert official site for the various download mirrors. While it's downloading, enjoy the new launch trailer below.
