I was just wondering if anyone else out there had a favorite line from RA2/YR.

Personally, I always liked the Apocalypse Tank's "It will soon be a wasteland."

Whereas, Tesla Trooper's "2,000 volts coming up." is... well not a very good one considering 2000 volts can arc a whopping quarter-inch. I've been hit with 9000 volts before.

Another interesting one though, is Flak Trooper's "A little flak?" because vox:iflaatd's value = "Flak you." I wonder if they thought this was too suggestive.

Its been a long time since I played RA2 but I don't recall the Tesla Trooper saying "2,000 volts coming up". I only remember it as "Charging Up!".

No, it definitely said that. But 2,000 volts is much if you consider how long the tesla animation stays (for like 1 second or so).

2,000 volts during one whole second is more than enough to kill you. Somehow those GIs seem to survive though....

The Demo Truck has the best voices anyway.

Hey, I asked for your favorite LINE you cheaters, not a whole unit!

Alright, you state a valid point, however, 2000 volts still only arcs a quarter-inch (the formula is 1000 volts to 1/8th inch under normal atmospheric conditions). So to kill someone, Tesla Trooper must tackle them and hold them down while he gives them a nice long shocking.

2,000 volts during one whole second is more than enough to kill you.

I disagree, you need amps. High voltage with low amps will not kill you unless the charge passes through the heart and causes fribulation. I'm not saying the Tesla Trooper doesn't have the amps, only that 2000 volts is not enough alone.

I always thought that was "Nice night for a walk"....

- Have I been gone somewhere, Comrade Zofia? (where is that used exactly?)

Ah, yes, the actual line is "Nice night for a walk", after a line in the opening scenes of The Terminator that Arnnie Frankenfurter rips off prominently, along with referrences to Total Recall, Eraser and Predator. Flint Westwood of course copies Dirty Harry with a few lines referring to The Gauntlet and I think Any Which Way But Loose and Sammy Stallion is a Rambo\Rocky knock off, with a funny referrence to Stop or My Mom Will Shoot thrown in for good measure.

I always wondered... Isn't it the current that kills and not the voltage? And Seals and Tanya should be more afraid of those voltage since they swim around pretty much.
