New issue PC Gamer shed light on some new units

Recommended Posts

I was in a bookstore browsing the latest issue of PC Gamer and some new insights of the new units.

-Uprising will contain 11 new units. They are designed to fill in the gaps in various factions, for example, the archer maiden (sp??) which will be the answer to the lack of AA in EotRS.

-Cryo Legionaire primary ability freezes units. Beware of their secondary ability, they charged towards the fragile frozen targets, thus destroying them!

-That Soviet grinder tank is officially named "The Grinder". An amphibious tank that grinds any ground units including tier 3 units such as the apocalypse!

-A boss unit in one of the Commander's Challenge is revealed. FutureTech's "Future Tank x1". Extremely tough armor. Look like Terminator 3's T-1 robot tank or those treaded robots in the Knight Rider 2 PC game. This boss unit has 3 red glowing dots as the eyes on the chest. Move on treads and 2 "arms" and each "arm" carry some weapon which I have no clue what it is all about. Has that FutureTech logo on it. You can see it in the trailer i believe.

-Giga Fortress. (Not gonna explain this one since its revealed in BCPT)

For copyrights issues, I think its not right to scan the pages, so you guys do have a look at the magazine! :D

The unit titled "Future Tank x1" has the Futuretech logo instead of the usual allies logo.

A more precise quote from a better source.

The Cryo Legionnaire can freeze all ground targets including vehicles, and his secondary ability is an aoe stomp that does damage, used to shatter targets they freeze.

Archer Maidens are tier 1 AA infantry.

"The Grinder" can grind all ground targets and doesn't get slowed down while doing so and is fully amphibious; It also seems to be implied that they can't be crushed by Apocalypse/Destroyers as well.

And lastly the new Allies unit is the "Future Tank X-1" it has heavy armor and is effective against all ground targets, but especially slower units, since it's primary attack is a slow moving orb that does damage to everything in it's path.

Also; Uprising takes place after the Allies campaign from RA3, so that's the canonical ending.

I've started the Uprising units page for the main site.

Soviet Units http://www.cncnz.com/games/ra3u/units.php#soviets

Allies Units http://www.cncnz.com/games/ra3u/units.php#allies

Empire of the Rising Sun Units http://www.cncnz.com/games/ra3u/units.php#empire

Not all details are present.... still a work in progress.

Same deal with the Character page http://www.cncnz.com/games/ra3u/characters.php.
