Doctor Destiny 41 Posted July 20, 2009 Following what Sonic did a few weeks ago, here's an update on things I own and some stuff you haven't seen before. Where all the magic happens... by that I mean mod and web production. I know it's cluttered to all bejesus but I do everything from here. The webcam is a Microsoft brand and the weird thing on the back of my tower is an HP tape drive. My laptop, and my MP3 player. The laptop is quite obviously a Dell... and it's a Latitude D530. The MP3 player is a 2GB SanDisk Sansa and I put in a 2GB microSD card. The earbuds are not pictured. First chunk of DVDs... quite obvious what they are. Second chunk, which is all of my anime. I don't own that much since I only buy what I really like. Yes, I do indeed own DBZ movies. Third chunk. All of my comedy movies... and of course, one shameful purchase. >_> Fourth chunk. Action-y stuff part one. Fifth. More action movies, and the like. The one in the metal case next to Jackie Brown is Reservoir Dogs. My paltry collection of Bond movies. But at least I have some really good ones in there. And YES, that is Quantum of Solace. I actually enjoyed it so NYAH. And my few music DVD related items. You didn't think I'd not own the Metallica documentary, did you? I may not have as many Metallica CDs as Sonic does at this moment, but I will eventually... I do own Death Magnetic... I just cannot for the life of me remember where it is. Probably my Jeep... But... I have more artists than just Metallica... my Megadeth. And my favorite of all... RUSH. Of course I have Iron Maiden... ... and Dream Theater. Tom Petty... not just for your parents. Just a random assortment of CDs... Another assortment of CDs... A spot of my manga collection, which isn't very large yet. But, here's my Love Hina since I posted the rest last time. Yeah... here's my geek collection. And lastly... something of which I've never shown anyone and only those who know me personally have seen. No, it is not porn. Here's my bowling bag. Yes it's big and yes it's full. It contains four balls, shoes, rags, puffballs, other equipment like tape and I have some awards in there too. Sorry about it being so dark. I didn't adjust my camera settings early enough. While I won't have everything pictured, I'll show off the balls I own. Yes, I really do own four... well, five technically but I don't use one. Here's the two on the top portion; The dark blue one is a Columbia 300 Super Beast. It's 15 pounds and it has a shinier ball surface. Really good for those dry lane conditions where it can slide further down, and yeah, it hooks like a monster in the backend. The fruity one with all the colors is the Icon. It's 16 pounds and has a dull surface. Much better for a more oily surface and like the Beast, it hooks like a madman on the backend. And my other two in consistent use. I know what's going to catch your eye first. It's the soccer ball. Given that there are holes and it's solid, rest assured it's a real ball. It's 14 pounds and it has a plastic coverstock. I use it for shooting pins I leave on the right, mainly just the 6 and 10. The red and dark blue swirl is my Columbia 300 Messenger Tec. It's 15 pounds as well and also has a dull surface. It hooks like a madman but it's more consistent than my Beast and Icon. I use this one the most and have shot a number of 250s and up with it. However, my Icon holds my highest game to date, which is a 289. There you have it. Share this post Link to post

TheBlackOut 6 Posted July 31, 2009 I guess this can be a "Post your desk/stuff/workarea" thread since I was looking for one, found this, never saw this of yours and felt bad if I created a new topic and ignored all this stuff you posted All your DVDs.. books... Megadeth CDs and Rush, damn. I'm jealous of a lot of it, that's a lot of money. I'm a pirate, but I do wish I owned physical copies of stuff but it's all so expensive for what it really is, not to mention a lot of movies will always come out in better formats in later years, effectively obsoleting what you've got. VHS gets replaced by DVD, DVD now is being replaced by Blu-Ray, which I'm sure will be replaced in a decade or so. The quality difference is pretty amazing, I see a pretty big difference between DVD and Blu-Ray. Hell, not to mention that all that physical media can be scratched and basically made useless, while digital medias, with proper backups, can last forever... Went on kind of a rant there but meh Cavalcade of Comedy? Really? You bought that? I've lost some respect man. It's okay, but definitely not enough to buy! Seth MacFarlane is not THAT funny. Some good movies.. but some also movies that make me wonder. Anime? ... No comment. Quantum of Solace sucked, btw. Mah desk, mostly just posting this because I got a new 23" monitor, 'tis nice! I wonder if anybody can find something weird to point out, on some other forum someone pointed out something that I thought was lost until pointed out, heh. Share this post Link to post

I feel guilty if I throw stuff out, feels like a waste of money -.- but I did just pick up a 24" monitor off Newegg (Yes it was the one on special for $220, that dropped to $200 the day it arrived -.-) Using it for the PS3, haven't had a good HD screen to use it with so it just blew my mind. F15pilotX 4 Posted August 9, 2009 (edited) My Laptop Pic of It My desktop is getting all weird on me atm, plus I just got CS4 for college and put it on my laptop. No pics of my desk atm, but in summary: laptop, logitech illuminated keyboard, logitech g5, logitech headset (yes, i <3 my logitech ), acer moniter, bose speakers and my desktop tower (which i haven't turned on in a week now)....also, random trash/cd's/water bottles/my cell phone. In fact, here is my NEW desk (eww dorm rooms)...I even ROTATED THE PICTURES this time And my bookshelf.... (I read. A lot.)
