Recommended System Specifications for Beta Testers

Command & Conquer 4 Beta requires DirectX 9.0c. You can install DirectX 9.0c by following the onscreen prompts during the game's installation process.

• CPU: Any Intel Core Duo machine, AMD Athlon 3500+ or better
• RAM: 2 GB
• Disk Drive: 8X or faster DVD-ROM drive
• Hard Drive: at least 10 GB of free space

10Gb of free hard disk space. That's alot for average users!

 

Luckily it performs pretty well with everything max out in the options setting.

They are basically the same as the Red Alert 3 system requirements. The only major difference is the the video card specs.

That's a real downer. Specs should be lower so more people can pick it up and play. Not everyone has a super rig. Hell, it wasn't until a couple years ago I could even play Generals properly.

 

I feel bad for those fans who can't play it because graphics are so important now...

Same here.

I had to slow the game speed down to around 20 because I wasn't used to it running so fast.

My current computer is constantly irritating me, but at least it has the power to run all the C&C games at max settings.

It is kinda strange. Back then before I got my classified rig, I was on a slow single core system, playing such games lag twice to 5 times slower, meaning slower gameplay. The moment I've changed to my classified rig, I was kinda overwhelmed how fast the game really is. XD

 

Attach a sample of the screenshot of my current setting. (note that i attach using the attachment here) For the high end enthusiasts, with everything max out, I was kinda disappointed with the graphics, I think more can be improved along the way.

Its only a beta, the graphics aren't a concern.

They might lower the system specs again later, but for beta purposes, the graphics aren't final nor optimized yet.

Unfortunately, my laptop only has an Intel X3100, which only runs C&C3 on low settings. It'll be 6 more days until I get home
