A 16 GB video card only for crypto mining? Who needs that when mining isn't profitable as of now: https://www.pcgamer.com/sapphire-says-gpu-mining-is-making-a-comeback-outs-a-16gb-radeon-rx-570

Also a GeForce GTX 1660 Ti has been rumored: https://www.pcgamer.com/nvidia-is-rumored-to-be-readying-a-geforce-gtx-1660-ti-graphics-card/

Well video cards are getting more expensive with each new generation, thanks to a weakened US dollar value, cryptocurrency and better features. Probably the next low-entry level GeForce card may exceed $100 USD and lowest mid-range GeForce card may exceed $200 USD.

So a GeForce GTX 1660 Ti has been released with a possible 1660, 1650 Ti and 1650 coming soon. The 1660 Ti with 6 GB of GDDR6 VRAM that replaces the 1060 has a MSRP price tag that is $30 USD over the original MSRP of the previous 1060 with the same amount of VRAM. Pretty much those will serve as the mid-range cards of the Turing architecture while the high-end cards are all RTX (ray-tracing) variants of 2060, 2070 and 2080 and those aren't really worth it at this time.

But I am still wondering why Nvidia didn't go with a 2050 Ti,  2050, 2040 and a 2030 instead. I guess they still retain the GTX series for budget buyers while the RTX series are for gaming enthusiasts.

The GeForce RTX 3000 series have been revealed: https://www.pcgamer.com/nvidia-ampere-30-series-announcement/?utm_content=buffer5339c&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter&utm_campaign=buffer-pcgamertw

How many people would buy a GeForce RTX 3090 to substitute a Titan card? Over 10000 config cores, 24 GB of GDDR6X VRAM, 350W of power (but using a 12-pin connector), 8K gaming compatible and the cost of $1499 USD! That's enough to last a decade of goodness.

No way I am buying GeForce RTX cards until they get cheaper plus more energy efficiency. The last GeForce series to have some energy efficiency was the GTX 900 series. A 350-watt GeForce RTX 3090 will have to force at least a 850-watt power supply!

Video cards are in high demand and short supply right now not only because of gaming but also the uprising of mining cryptocurrency!
