Command & Patch Arrives at CNCNZ.com

Recommended Posts

We are pleased to announce that Command & Patch is now part of CNCNZ.com. With the original creator of Command & Patch, nathancnc, recently joining our staff, we decided to bring Command & Patch to CNCNZ.com and make this site it's official home on Internet. Command & Patch is dedicated to patching the classics like original Command & Conquer as well Command & Conquer: The First Decade. Inside you will find the popular C&C: The First Decade Unofficial Patch v1.03 and Nyerguds' Command & Conquer Gold 1.06b patch.

To access Command & Patch you can use the simple and easy to remember address http://cnp.cncnz.com. Command & Patch is a community collective effort bought to by nathancnc, Nyerguds, CCHyper, plus other key contributors. And now CNCNZ.com!

I think Command & Patch will find a better place here than on CnC Sector.

Nyerguds and the guys have done lots of nice work. Thank you and thanks to CNCNZ.com for hosting this patch :)

I just hope that the upcoming Red Alert patch doesn't break the scrolling. As I want to play C&C Tiberian Dawn with 1.04 resolution (See this) it scrolls very very fast with the latest patch :(

The move happened over short period. I suggested it to nathancnc and he agreed, sent me the files and then well here's the result.

As for forums, yeah that's always possible. But it will require some discussion before they are created I guess.

The RA95 patch is my domain, and i have yet to work on scrolling.

Scrolling in C&C games works by doing some voodoo maths with the gamespeed and screensize, so i have to really look into this.

Sorry for not telling you about the move Hyper.....

Same for me... found out about it by reading the cncworld news...

So, are we going to get some sort of forum here then?

And does this mean that, once again, I lost my entire development thread?

Just tell me what forums you guys need and I'll set them up.

Just a "Command & Patch" section should be fine; the important patch threads can be sticky'd

The gamesector forum is back up again... looks like, for once, I lost nothing. Phew.

I went a step further and created an entire category for Command & Patch. Basically mirroring what as set up at Game Sector. Access them here http://forums.cncnz.com/index.php?showforum=90. So you can go ahead and repost (move) your important threads over to here.

There is also a Command & Patch Staff group, Nyerguds, CCHyper and of course nathancnc are part of this group.

I've actually been thinking that the Command & Patch site (and the sub-domain cnp.cncnz.com) would be better as its own mini site, indepetent and not confined to the CNCNZ.com design. I feel is need to more than just a sub section of CNCNZ.com.

Hmm, I left C&C Sector for a few reasons...but one of them being that I don't have the time to run an entire site.

I do have time to lurk around the CNCNZ forums, and I will create the topics that are over at C&C Sector here soon.

PS: I don't seem to be on the Command & Patch Staff group yet....

It's nice to see this going full steam, except for Hyper's RA1 patch with high-resolution.

It appears no one else in the CNC community is doing that RA1 patching to finish it, unless if I go for that if I had that programming and hacking knowledge. But RA1 isn't the only program with a lack of high-resolution, so is Dune 2000. We have seen preview screenshots of those high-resolutions of RA1 but they wind up pretty glitchy.

Dont start all this again, had enough of it at the official forums.

RA95 does not have the graphical engine that C&C95 has, its somewhat between a DOS legacy and a C&C95 graphical engine. What means everything works hand in hand, touch one, brake the other, fix that, brake another. I have a very busy life added to this, but you wanna go ahead sure, rewrite a games graphical engine yourself then come back and cry.

Anyone who is interested, this is as far as i have been able to get in RA95.

You are part of that group. Your in both groups actually, the News Team and CnP Staff. However your only shown as part of the News Team because its your primary group but you inherit all the permissions/privileges of the CnP group.
