Steam C&C Mod compatibility?

Title kind of explains my question.

 

The C&C games are on discount on steam this weekend, but are the versions on Steam compatible with Mods?

Well, seeing as C&C3 actually contains a system to launch mods, I'd be surprised if this were somehow missing from the Steam version. It was an official patch update after all.

Well, I installed MidEast Crisis 2 on it and it's working. I intend to look for more mods in the near future.
