Osama bin Laden Killed

Finally, our tax dollars meant something... well, not really.

Anyway, Obama announced that Osama's gone now. Clever.

Thoughts?

Not really caring whether he is or not, but I do find this amusing. He has more lives than a cat.

Australia media is commenting on the personal stake Obama is making on this... ie the number of "I"'s in the speech.

"I was consulted"... "I gave the orders..." I don't like Obama, but he seemed more subtle than the speech I heard a few minutes ago.

Well at least the next FPS has a new mission to copycat...

Tax dollars? No, it's the US debt at $14+ trillion to be owed up. It took over $14 trillion dollars to do this war for at least a decade, especially hunting for the head terrorist.

But this war of terrorism is far from over. There may be retaliation soon from the remants of Al Qaeda and the crisis in Libya is still not helping gas prices around the world.

I don't think Osama was the head terrorist.

And at Gben, I think Obama was just trying to instill the image of being the head of state. I doubt he had too much to do with the actual kill made.

No it didn't. The whole of the US debt wasn't created from one war.

I would rather have had he was just captured and not killed, but I'm satisfied with his death anyway.

This looks shopped though. (Haven't been able to do a full check on the source though, but it was shown on Al-Jazeera I think.)

Warning. Not for the faint of heart.

YES! There's no evidence they either captured or killed him, he's still alive! Obama and Osama are the same person, a shapeshifter, and a reptilian! Don't believe anything you hear! It's all a lie! And why does it matter anyway? Nothing will change. The "war" will never end because it's not really a war, it's a colonization. WAKE UP SHEEPLE!

Warning. Not for the faint of heart.

...Yet Osama bin Laden avoided capture and escaped across the Afghan border into Pakistan. Meanwhile, al Qaeda continued to operate from along that border and operate through its affiliates across the world. And so shortly after taking office, I directed Leon Panetta, the director of the CIA, to make the killing or capture of bin Laden the top priority of our war against al Qaeda, even as we continued our broader efforts to disrupt, dismantle, and defeat his network.

Then, last August, after years of painstaking work by our intelligence community, I was briefed on a possible lead to bin Laden. It was far from certain, and it took many months to run this thread to ground. I met repeatedly with my national security team as we developed more information about the possibility that we had located bin Laden hiding within a compound deep inside of Pakistan. And finally, last week, I determined that we had enough intelligence to take action, and authorized an operation to get Osama bin Laden and bring him to justice.

Today, at my direction, the United States launched a targeted operation against that compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan. A small team of Americans carried out the operation with extraordinary courage and capability. No Americans were harmed. They took care to avoid civilian casualties. After a firefight, they killed Osama bin Laden and took custody of his body.
