dbjs2009 25 Posted March 3, 2012 The developers of the Tiberian Sun Redux mod for C&C: Generals Zero Hour have recently revealed a model and an ingame screen shot of the redesigned Nod Banshee, one of C&C's most remarkable units. Have a look. Aircraftkiller 9 Posted March 5, 2012 What's that scribbled-looking stuff on the front? It looks very out of place on the model. The panel lines are too large. They're more like cracks in the paneling rather than panel lines, so it looks very exposed and vulnerable. The lighting in the initial render makes it difficult to see the details in the modeling and texture development. Additionally, the texture looks grainy and low-res. I would also look into replacing the Nod logo with a stenciled design instead of using a rendered logo on the sides. It looks odd and doesn't really fit the scheme of any Tiberian Sun vehicles. Lauren 77 Posted March 6, 2012 (edited) you forgot "...but apart from that it looks fantastic... " How so? You can't reallly see the model/shape on the render and the texture isn't very good as ACK pointed out. On the ingame screen you can't see anything but silouettes and some colors because of the haze, and even they aren't easy to make out for the Banshees as each of them is in front of a tree with about the same luminosity. Guest Stevie_K Posted March 6, 2012 Perhaps this render had the objective to show how the Banshee will be experienced, and not as much focus on the shape of the model itself. At this distance, it doesn't look very polished, but it's still a nice Banshee. Share this post Link to post

You are forgetting that this is Generals 1, quite used to low-quality 3D models. All I can say is that the render is awesome, but the screenshot... stretches them a bit? 1 Share this post Link to post
Aircraftkiller 9 Posted March 6, 2012 Generals has a fine engine for modeling. As with anything, you will get out of it what you put into it. If you put a small amount of effort into your work, it will show - and it does. Share this post Link to post

You forgot the cheekiness of my comment directed at ACK... it's the classic joke. List a million things wrong and then add... "but apart from that it's perfectly fine." Why is everyone so serious??? 1 Share this post Link to post
Iran 12 Posted March 10, 2012 The model looks decent, but as Aircraftkiller mentioned the texture on it looks odd to say the least. But as it's a Generals mod the texture doesn't mean that much, I'd like to see a shot of the Banshee ingame without the fog, the fact that it's a flying unit means it's easier to see the details on it. 1 Share this post Link to post
