Sonic 294 Posted March 29, 2012 Looks like the Tiberium Alliances team at EA Phenomic wants you to get a little creative with a new contest that has been announced today. Here's the all important information on the new Command & Conquer: Tiberium Alliances Art Contest.... Commanders, We know, we have some very creative players in our community, who love this franchise as much as we do. You already programmed some awesome apps and tools for this game, made fantastic signatures and created absolutely great guides. This is just great! Here´s your chance to prove your skills! We call on YOU to participate in our "Command & Conquer Community Art-Contest" Create a screenshot, an artwork, a picture or a graphic which explains one significant element of the game. Maybe the tutorial, the interaction of buildings or the unstoppable bombing-flight of a Firehawk-squad. Set your creativity beyond any frontiers. Show your skills to everyone and not only gain the respect of this great community: The best entries will be published on Facebook and Twitter and every user, whose picture is being published even gains a rare forum-rank. Now it´s up to you. You've shown us so much of your creative energy. Now, the time has come to reach out for the respect you deserve. We are looking forward to all the great things you will create. Period is from 03/29/2012 - 04/12/2012 Once you have come up with your masterpiece, you can submit for entry into this contest by posting it in this thread on the Official Tiberium Alliances Forums. Plok 321 Posted March 29, 2012 How do you draw/snapshot something related to a mere spinoff of Tiberium Wars without it looking as the latter? Share this post Link to post
Inferno 22 Posted March 29, 2012 There is one. A rare forum rank Okay, I'm convinced. I'm now gonna spend 10 hours to create something totally awesome! Or maybe not. Share this post Link to post
Guest Rabbit Posted March 30, 2012 I take offense to that. I'm making something for this contest. Seriously, I'm happy it's a contest without a prize. I try to avoid contests with prizes, let other people win them. This one is just perfect for a video I've wanted to make. Share this post Link to post
Sonic 294 Posted March 30, 2012 Its all about community participation, keeping things active. Share this post Link to post
Guest Rabbit Posted March 30, 2012 Here's my submission. It's clearly not my greatest work, as it was pretty thoroughly rushed, and between two different projects, but it's something. Share this post Link to post
Nmenth 290 Posted March 30, 2012 I thought about doing this, then decided not to, then Zee did his Legos, so I changed my mind again. A little extra promotion for the cartoons I suppose. This is not Cartoon and Conquer. I am not going to add it to the Cartoon and Conquer forum or site. Share this post Link to post

Guest Rabbit Posted March 30, 2012 Thanks a lot for the upbeat replies guys. @Nmenth, I completely agree with your positioning on the placement of the cartoon. It's the exact reason I uploaded my video to my own youtube, instead of putting it on the official CNCNZ one. That and, well, this project was pretty rushed. It was still a fun quick thing to do though. Yours gave me a laugh. Share this post Link to post
PurpleGaga27 39 Posted March 30, 2012 Nice video, Zee! I hope you might need that for a future episode of Tiberium Legos soon. Also nice cartoon, Nmenth. We still need Nod to be playable. Share this post Link to post
Nmenth 290 Posted March 30, 2012 That and, well, this project was pretty rushed. It was still a fun quick thing to do though. Mine was rushed too. I decided to go ahead and do it right after watching your video, if you look at the timestamps between our posts, I put that out in under two hours. I don't know how many people over in the TA corner of cyberspace know what Cartoon and Conquer is though... Share this post Link to post
Nmenth 290 Posted March 31, 2012 Wow, what is this madness? My Cartoon and Alliances entry got 42 likes on Facebook? The most a Cartoon and Conquer episode has ever gotten was 16 likes! #25 is sitting right there along with it, but only has 6 likes... Share this post Link to post

Same for Nmenth's cartoon, it could have gone on http://cartoonandconquer.cncnz.com just not included into the main mix so to speak. At least that's how I would have done it anyway. They were also shared on http://www.facebook.com/TiberiumAlliances. Share this post Link to post

Same for Nmenth's cartoon, it could have gone on http://cartoonandconquer.cncnz.com just not included into the main mix so to speak. At least that's how I would have done it anyway. It's like this; imagine you have a television show, the star of the show does a commercial playing the same character as from the show, would you expect that commercial to be included if you bought the show's DVD release? While some casual readers may not think of Cartoon and Conquer as anything more than a bi-weekly gag, to me it is a linear story following a canon. The TA strip is a parody of the main strip and non-canon. One of the reasons I had originally decided not to make a TA strip was because I thought it might cheapen the strip. Gben 20 Posted March 31, 2012 Good jobs guys... BTW did you check the fineprint to see if the ranks are available to non-US citizens??? Share this post Link to post
