Make Generals freeware

RA2/YR will probably become freeware first, if EA is ever feeling generous, but to be honest, I wouldn't put any faith in them whatsoever.

I once asked EA_Cire in the official CNC forums for Red Alert 2 freeware first long before someone calling for the C&C Generals freeware.

There are some discussions on the official forums. By the looks of it, you'll have to wait a long time for both.

They're so old they might as well be freeware at this point. At the very least they can bundle them up with Generals 2.

Thing is, releasing Genereals/ZH as freewhere would definitely be great promotion for Generals 2 and the Command & Conquer franchise. It might add fans and boost the confidence from the community.

But they can't skip a major game like Red Alert 2/Yuri's Revenge

 

The only exit to this situation is releasing RA2 on its 12th anniversary this October and Gens1 prior to the release of Gens2.
