PurpleGaga27 39 Posted August 28, 2012 (edited) I did not come up with this idea, it was some other person who came up with this in the official CNC forums that lasted 9+ pages: Thread: http://www.commandan...back-Generals-2 Petition: http://www.change.or...e-c-c-franchise 4310 supporters have signed the petition. If only there are over one million signatures by then, I highly doubt EA will listen. EA is already polled in as the worst company in the US this year and thus there's barely any trust and loyalty left from EA except for those famous guys like John Madden and Tiger Woods in which EA still holds their names to their sports games. I won't sign this, because some part of that petition doesn't make any sense. Bringing back Generals 2 isn't going to be easy, not in this tough economic time. Edit: The petition officially ended with 4408 signatures. But it doesn't matter, there will be SP in the C&C F2P platform after all. Edited January 2, 2013 by zocom7 Share this post Link to post
Plok 320 Posted August 28, 2012 EA is already polled in as the worst company in the US this year and thus there's barely any trust and loyalty left from EA except for those famous guys like John Madden and Tiger Woods in which EA still holds their names to their sports games. EA Sports is their only branch that is still worth something, even though they ditched PC support for everything except FIFA. Earlier on in 2008, EA released Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3. This game was mediocre at best. Some fans loved it. Some fans hated it. Nevertheless, EA had lost the charm that previous games in the series had. For these sentences the person who made this petition should get one big, juicy bitchslap. Share this post Link to post
Nmenth 289 Posted August 28, 2012 For these sentences the person who made this petition should get one big, juicy bitchslap. I disagree. A couple of those statements are opinions, of course, but opinions I happen to agree with nevertheless. More to the topic at hand, petitions are really stupid. Even if they occasionally actually work, they are still stupid; "Hey, they brought back Generals 2!" "How'd that happen?" "A few thousand fans signed a petition." "Wow... that's really lame..." Luk3us 63 Posted August 29, 2012 Petitions don't work, they've never worked in hte past, and they sure as hell aren't going to work today. Go make a million threads on the official C&C forum, you're more likely to get a response that way than a silly little petition no one will ever read. Share this post Link to post
Prisoner416 2 Posted September 4, 2012 Hey, petitions made LucasArts release Sam & Max: Freelance Police! Oh wait... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sam_%26_Max:_Freelance_Police Share this post Link to post
Commando112 2 Posted December 21, 2012 I'm down with it. Hell to C&C FTP. I have already signed it. I hope they bring back Generals 2 with a long campaign and kick ass multiplayer skirmish 2 Share this post Link to post
Guest Rabbit Posted December 21, 2012 The devs have publicly said they're putting in a singleplayer campaign because of community complaints, and they're also putting in skirmish, as we got to play with it during testing during the summit. Share this post Link to post
Guest Stevie_K Posted December 22, 2012 As it seems right now, the developers have more or less committed to giving the fans what they want. Share this post Link to post
