Companies Exist To Make Money

Recommended Posts

Yes I agree. That article is very relevant to what we experience much of the time in the C&C Community. I'm tired of seeing people its all about the money for EA, well holy ****!! of course it is  EA, Activision and all the other publishers (larger and small) are not out to make friends. They need to post profits. So yeah its all about money but they still want to make the best games possible.

Unfortunately I think we will see more these arguments as we learn more about the new C&C and its free to play business model.

Indeed, the argument is stupid, I've heard it used far too many times. Those that play this card lack the mentality to think for themselves and only serve as enablers to game companies' failures.

Profit is the goal, but customer satisfaction is the bridge to that goal. Burn the bridge and the profit will eventually go too.

Correction: the most overhyped games possible. :P

Why don't they all look at minor gaming companies like GSC Game World, Firaxis or Croteam? Their primary goal is making gaming an art form, not... this.

More game companies that are developing MP only and/or F2P games are definitely heading for more profit (than the ones developing games sold for retail). If F2P games are worth it, they should have been called as freeware games, only if they had single-player content and not P2W content.
