Guest Stevie_K Posted September 3, 2013 Papers Please A new border control simulator on steam. I've spent some hours so far and I'm completely in love with it. Reviews on MetaCritic Video walkthrough (gives a nice quick insight) I can warmly recommend it. Probably the best game I've tried in 2013. EDIT: Forgot to ask! Have you tried it? What's your thoughts? Share this post Link to post
Plok 323 Posted September 3, 2013 Saw an earlier trailer. Seems intriguing, I particularly applaud the DOS-style graphics. Will watch the playthrough at a later time to judge it, though. Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted September 4, 2013 Yeah I gave it a whirl back when it was for free on his site. Its a fun little game and whilst it is a bit linear the choices you can make do shape how it ends. In my play through I was a good little bureaucrat and did everything by the book even if others suffered. Its a good little time waster and its cheap so its not like you're spending a lot of cash. Guest Rabbit Posted September 4, 2013 God that's an addicting game. I just wasted four hours of my life and only got three endings. Share this post Link to post
Nyerguds 100 Posted September 4, 2013 Watched through the video a bit... seems interesting enough. Bought it through Humble store Share this post Link to post
Plok 323 Posted September 4, 2013 Took the time to watch the video now. It definitely looks like one of those games that have very simple gameplay, but gives you a hell of a good time. Share this post Link to post
CyborgBanana 5 Posted September 5, 2013 (edited) This game is fresh and oddly fun -- I say that because the actual concept of validating passports as a game doesn't sound very fun but it actually is, why? Because of the detective work that is rewarding to do correctly and the outcomes of your choices in my opinion. One thing it's missing though is a larger pool of interesting characters such as http://papersplease.wikia.com/wiki/Jorji_Costava. I found that weird little man more entertaining than I probably should have. Good game and priced perfectly in my opinion, only a little more than a Goodfella's pizza and you get hours of gameplay. The dedicated gamer could even try go for all 20 endings which would increase the replay value immensely. Edited September 5, 2013 by CyborgBanana Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted September 5, 2013 Jorji for a time there I think the first four attempts at getting through it was easy to pickup what was wrong with his passport as time went by though it got a bit tougher, in the end I just denied him entry every single time. hehe. In other news, someone made a wiki for hte game? haha. Share this post Link to post
Nmenth 290 Posted September 5, 2013 In other news, someone made a wiki for hte game?I've found that there's always a wiki for every game. Share this post Link to post
