What is Your Diet Like?

Recommended Posts

Let's talk about what you eat. In recent months I had to make some changes to my diet and cut out a few things. I also got back into the habit of having proper breakfast rather than skipping it. I don't drink soft drinks, energy drinks as they are loaded with sugar, the marketing **** they print on the can or bottle is all lies, there is nothing in them that's good for you.

All I drink is plenty of water and 1 Up n Go (Google it) in the mourning.

So what's your diet like? Would you consider yourself a healthy eater?

If you made changes to your diet, did you find it difficult to make these changes and stick with it?

I don't drink anything with caffeine in it, I am also teetotal, so I don't drink any alcohol. I generally drink only water, but occasionally have fruit juice as well.

As far as food, I do not restrict myself from any specific thing, but I do limit my consumption of saturated fat and sodium. Unfortunately, this means I eat far less pizza than I would like to, as they are pretty much tasty concentrations of saturated fat and sodium.

I do not find changing my diet to be particularly difficult.

I try and eat as few refined foods as possible, but I'm not really anal about it.

Also, I eat lots of protein. For the gainsss.

My diet is kinda ****ty, but I just try to not eat as much as I used to. I at least drink a lot of water and I cut most of the soda out too. If I could make my own food without ****ing it up, I would probably eat a lot better.

I'm on a see food diet, I see food, and I eat it. :P

Dinner for me is usually healthy, lots of green stuff. Lunch however is usually gut rot, pies, buns, fried anything. You know, the good processed food that drowns your heart in fat. ;) But thats only during hte working week. Breakfast is usually toast.

I don't do coffee, and only drink socially. I tend to drink equal amounts of milk + sugar as I do water. I rarely do soft drinks.

I've always been slightly overweight, but my weight has been steady for the last five or so years. But I could do to lose about five kilograms me thinks.

I've been lucky with my weight all my life. I've never had any massive gains or drastic losses. I do check it on the bathroom scales occasionally. I'm currently at 69kg.

Like Luk3us I've only ever hit the booze socially, days like Christmas day. As I said before. Water is all I need. I can feel when I don't get enough water, I tend feel the muscles in my arms and legs cramping up on me. I believe its a sign of dehydration. When I increased my water intake that annoying pain disappeared. There are many benifits to drinking water. It softens your skins, cuts heal faster. Oh yeah its basically free. Unless you go to the movies and they want $5.70 for a 750ml bottle of water!

Ticket sales don't earn them any profit, the refreshments are where they make their money.

I'm fairly sure I'm the heaviest around here by the looks of it :P

I used to be skinny skinny, then gained some decent weight when I stopped growing. Since a year or so I've been lifting and I now currently weigh 96kg @190cm :P

As far as diet goes, we dutchies are fairly used to eating a lot of bread. Besides that I consume copious amounts of dairy, eggs and meat. Dinner is usually rice, potatoes or pasta, with meat and vegetables.

I drink about 1-4 times a month, socially, in which case I get pretty tipsy. Besides that I drink milk, water and the occiasional coffee.

I get nice 'n' hearty home cooking. The advantage of living in Hotel Mom despite having a job (honestly, house prices around here are insane, and mom would be pretty alone without us around anyway :P).

For the rest... I try to eat breakfast but often end up skipping it, make my sandwiches to take to work every day, and my caffeine consumption varies from week to week, usually in pretty direct reverse relation to how much I sleep. I vary between green tea and coffee, though.

I drink water, "flavored water" (Don't know of any other way to put it) and eat varied food. I like chocolate a bit too much though and putting any sort of potato chips/crisps near me usually ends up with it disappearing. :P.

Bro, you're not even close to the heaviest. Since you like to use those silly easy to remember units, I'm roughly 150kg and about 190cm in stature. Suffice to say, I'm a big dude.

I've just introduced this into my diet the past couple of days. Vitasoy Oat Milk.

Looks like milk, but of course it tastes different. I don't actually use much milk anyway, but a couple of glasses of Oat Milk should can only mean good things.

You do know that the "cholesterol is bad" story is a bit dated, don't you?

Yeah I know all that. And I don't have cholesterol problem. But I found this Oat Milk contains other good things that I want to increase my intake of.

Breakfast: 1 to 2 bread rolls with all kinds of sausage

Lunch: Varies pretty much, usually regular stuff what you eat in Germany for lunch, though often McDonalds/other fast food or these nice 1kg lasagne packs (I usually eat for at least 2 at lunch)

Dinner: 1 to 3 bread rolls with all kinds of sausage

Drinks: Water or Milk, sometimes beer when I'm out with friends.

My current weight: 64.1kg

My current height: 190 cm

Sport: none but what I'm doing at work

seems I eat a lot and can't get over 80kg (the most I've ever reached before I got sick and lost 15kg) fml.

If you're not gaining weight, you're not eating enough. Simple as that.

I eat whatever I like to eat. I like to eat healthy by eating mostly fresh meat, vegetables, fruits, eggs (a lot) and nuts.

I avoid sugary candy and salted snacks like chips. I don't drink soda or soft drinks but I do drink a lot of fresh milk, coffee and a lot of beers in the weekends.

I fear that the human body have not adapted well enough for oats and grains to be a considered super healthy. There aren't really many nutrients to get there anyway.

Considering the vast difference between what europeans and east asians can and cannot eat/digest I wouldn't generalize this anyway. But yeah eating/drinking something your body cannot digest certainly helps with loosing weight, if it's healthy is quite a different thing (remember it doesn't have to be unhealthy).
