Ryhen 0 Posted September 5, 2014 Yesterday when I tried to download TibEd 2 I had an unknown network error and for the rest of the day I could not even start the download for Tibed 2. Now today, I tried again and the download started but it was only 7.4 MBs but the link to the download page says 9 MBs. After a few seconds into the download my antivirus pops up and says it was a Win32:Dropper-gen. Now here I did a really stupid thing. I disabled my antivirus and re downloaded the file, then after it finished I scanned it. The thing was a virus. I then downloaded TibEd 1. There are no problems with this file. I apologize if this post rambles. Thanks, Ryhen. Share this post Link to post
Sonic 293 Posted September 5, 2014 I just downloaded TibEd 2 from http://www.tibed.net/downloads and it transferred fine. I scanned the file, no virus detected. The download size for setuptibed21.exe is actually 7.38 MB. Are you downloading from another source other than the official site at http://www.tibed.net/? Share this post Link to post

And yes, I am downloading from the official site. Do you think Avast antivirus is giving me a false positive? Share this post Link to post
Sonic 293 Posted September 5, 2014 Yeah it could be a false positive. I scanned with Microsoft Security Essentials on Windows 7. There is an analysis of the setuptibed21.exe here https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/a9debf77c4d1d7c8e61ce7a4b05a69b5e2f88f9293a02264c943dd597ad766fb/analysis/1403031206/ But I would say the file the 100% clean and safe. Thanks for the help. And I am sure my antivirus is giving a false positive. I disabled my antivirus and downloaded and installed TibEd and am now messing around with values. I now wonder how long it will take me to make a super unit. Thanks again, Ryhen Share this post Link to post
