Throwback Thursday for 22nd October

Its time for another edition of Throwback Thursday. This week its back to 1995 and the original Command & Conquer. We are taking a look at Greg Burdette, the WWN reporter, who did live reports from various locations during the campaign. All of his reports portrayed the Global Defense Initiative in a negative way, mostly to sway the public opinion and make the Global Defense Initiative look like the bad guys. As it turns out, Greg Burdette was really being manipulated by Brotherhood of Nod. And all of his reports were fabricated and essentially produced and directed by Kane himself.

Remember, you can click on the preview above to see a larger and more detailed image. Check back again next Thursday for another Throwback. Send in your ideas for future instalments. We encourage you to share this on social media using the hash tags #ThrowbackThursday, #CnCTBT and #CNCNZTBT.

Journalism in a nutshell :P

Also, his actor was the narrator in the 1998 Tiberian Sun behind the scenes video that you can see in Dune 2000.

As it turns out, Greg Burdette was really working for the Brotherhood of Nod.

Interesting wording...

I've always drawn that conclusion that, from the way he moves away from Kane when he walks on screen, and how he reacts when the gun is drawn... that he was captured/kidnapped and forced to make these propaganda videos. I've always thought that Greg was coerced into making these videos by [implied] threat that he was a pawn not an active agent. Nuances...

Still... Kane is Kane... good times.

But the Brotherhood of Nod only had the technology and budget of a 90s video game producer so no one believed them. :P
