carage 0 Posted November 6, 2004 I'd vote for the MK-II in Tiberian Sun, but the MK-II is supposed to be a special unit which you could only build one at a time. (Westwood's claim that the decision was a hardware constraint sounds really laughable with today's processing power) Therefore, if we were asking a mass produced regular unit, I would vote for the Emperor Tank. Self healing, dual barrels, and a mini-gun for anti-infantry and anti-air, what more could you ask for? Oh yeah, it could add some speed, even after the nuclear upgrade it's still too slow. VampireA05 0 Posted November 8, 2004 I'm confuse... what's the difference between Mammoth Tank and Overlord/Emperor? Why Overlord/Emperor cannot fall as same category as mammoth? Mammoth is slooww, big and bad as Overlord/Emperor. It also has secondary attack as Overlord/Emperor if upgraded. And further more it doesn't or never belongs to Allied Forces (I don't know about other title), it this big mean machince always produce/own by the Soviet/Communist. You can't say it's because it has twin guns, a real tank had twins and also the RA1 heavy would then be a Mammoth. 2. The Overlord has now Mammoth in its background. The Apoc has the RA1 Mammy, the MkII has the TD Mammy, the Overlord has no Mammy. 3. The Overlord is set on a completly differant storyline that has 100% nothing to do with EITHER Tib series or Red Alert Series. Generals storyline has no mammoth in its background. According to Generals storyline THE MAMMOTH NEVER EXISTED so how can the Overlord be an evolution of something that never existed? 4. The ORIGINAL MAMMOTH was a good unit. It was a GDI unit not Nod! It was not made by a Soviet nation but by an "Allied" nation. You killed YOURSELF on that one! Shall I continue? Or are you going to give another reason for why the Overlord is a Mammoth that digs your own hole deeper? Cygnus X-1 12 Posted January 2, 2005 Heres something to tink over. RA1 Mammoth is better than TD mammoth because of infantry control. What about the super mammoths from Aftermath?!? Very power full.
