What was world domination tour? How did it work?

What was world domination tour and how did it work? I am assuming it was something like global conquest in KW from the images I have seen on Google.

It was a multiplayer mode where you clicked on a region which was currently contested and was given an opponent of the other faction. After x minutes/hours the win/loss ratio of players would be evaluated and control is given to the winning faction. After a while the map will reset.
