PurpleGaga27 39 Posted July 26, 2017 (edited) The end will soon be there for flash. Adobe has decided to end support for the Flash Player by 2020: https://consumerist.com/2017/07/25/adobe-flash-will-finally-die-in-2020 At the beginning, the technology was okay to use. But now, it's slow, unstable and buggy. HTML5 and WebGL replace pretty much most of that today. Edited July 26, 2017 by PurpleGaga27 Share this post Link to post
Plok 323 Posted July 26, 2017 Fucking finally. Hope Java will follow suit soon. Using Archive.org to reach Flash-powered sites will become more difficult, though. Share this post Link to post

It's a perfectly legitimate cross platform language. Anything with a large user base is inevitably going to be targeted more often than more esoteric or specific things. Share this post Link to post

Even Microsoft's stuff doesn't get updated with minor updates as frequently, meaning there's something fundamentally vulnerable within it. Share this post Link to post
Lauren 78 Posted July 30, 2017 I haven't installed either flash or java for over a year and I'm quite happy with it. Esp for my laptop as it doesn't get bogged down by a badly coded resource hogging emulator (java). Share this post Link to post
