ApornasPlanet 6 Posted January 16, 2018 (edited) Available in one hour! e: played a bit and it really sucks. to generic and no personality. you unlock more stuff by playing but since the gameplay is so dull, what's the point? Edited January 16, 2018 by ApornasPlanet Share this post Link to post
Ravendark 43 Posted January 17, 2018 GG was story driven? What a load of bullshit. 5 fucking missions per faction that didn't last long enough to get you involved for a total of 15 missions and a stupid short ass dlc months later? And what did most of those missions involve? Kill everything objectives? Boring crap of a game that didn't warrant a second play through. fuck i even played through Tiberium Twilight out of curiosity to see both GDI and NOD choices and that is saying a lot about my ability to tolerate shit story telling. Holy shit, I've seen porn with a more gripping story and that made me want to cum back to it. They probably also did more on a 50 dollar budget then you did with a million dollar + budget. And where did they put all that money they saved on story telling and cinematic in forged battalion? Not in the model and texture artists budget obviously. engine? doubt it very much. Map design and scripting? Highly unlikely as well. Also, really stop that self praise bullshit by quoting niche outlets and reviewers That dinosaur of a e-magazine that tries to stay relevant or that let's player/streamer getting free games/channel content, obviously they love to stroke your cock ego to keep their shit going. The average consumer that needs to pay and is only there for the content of your product thinks its a pile of shit. Fucking Petroglyph, you're the EA of developers. 1 Share this post Link to post

ApornasPlanet 6 Posted January 18, 2018 (edited) Ok, it's not as bad as my first impression. You can have fun with it. However I still dislike that you just command big blobs. Where's the finesse? e: I've played even more now. the more I play the better it gets. this game is alright afterall Edited January 19, 2018 by ApornasPlanet Share this post Link to post

PurpleGaga27 37 Posted August 15, 2018 With only 15 SP missions and some major improvements, that looks more like a half-completed game on a full release for $19.99 USD. The sale price at 20% off the regular price tag is a decent deal. Due to high system requirements, I won't be playing that game until I get a new PC. Share this post Link to post
TaxOwlbear 20 Posted August 18, 2018 Only 15 missions, and all of them recycle multiplayer maps. It definitely feels like the game is incomplete. Share this post Link to post
Saracen 16 Posted December 26, 2018 Well I'm gonna necro this since FB bombed harder than Japan in World War 2... So.... Since it's vaguely related and to be quite frank, it'd probably be better here than a new thread. Has anyone had a go at Uncrewed? https://store.steampowered.com/app/474890/Uncrewed/ It's an indie game, still in Early Access, but getting near to the end now. Has a unit design premise that's exceptionally deep. Not a massive structure building game per-se, more the units themselves. But probably does a better job than FB ever did. Smash-Gaming covered it in detail... Playlist below.. What does anyone who cares think of this one? Share this post Link to post
PurpleGaga27 37 Posted December 27, 2018 That game is worth taking a look since it's mostly similar to WarZone 2100. Besides Petroglyph is already working on a different RTS game called Conan Unconquered. Share this post Link to post
PurpleGaga27 37 Posted February 4, 2019 Finally got a chance to play it. Graphics and gameplay look pretty similar to Grey Goo and 8-Bit trilogy combined. I wonder how many more small RTS games to look forward to. Share this post Link to post
PurpleGaga27 37 Posted February 15, 2019 So I finally finished the game... with a cheater trainer (for missions 5-15) due to weak economic gameplay in later games. 15 missions for one faction, unbelievable. The first four missions are moderate but then Mission 5 is way too insane --> three factions against one is totally unfair advantage. The last mission of the game is also similar to mission 5 as well. Also almost every mission starts with limited credits and at least several infantry to start with instead of starting vehicles and/or structures which absolutely sucks. I like the idea of custom made units but to unlock the entire tech, you may as well have to play dozens of MP/skirmish battles to max up research points and upgrade the entire tech. Also that main structure should have the option to turn back into a MCV and deploy it somewhere else to build another base rather than relying on capturing outposts just to expand a base. But my overall opinion of this, Warzone 2100 is still far better than Forged Battalion by a million leagues. Also a decent EP soundtrack (only nine of them) by Frank Klepacki.
