Playing in 4K resolution 2160p (v1.06c r3)

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Anyone here playing on 4K Desktop ? Any ideas how to set CCConfigFull or CCConfig to make it run properly ? I think I've already tried everything and it's just always glitched, decentralized screen or crash with some Out of memory error.

Have you tried... simply not playing the game in your native resolution? The game was never designed to go over 640x400, and even the 1.06 patch is not deigned to go over a screen width of 1024 pixels.

There are stretch options available in the config tool. Use those to upscale the game to your actual resolution.

Yes, thanks. This is working flawlessly. Now, to keep original aspect ratio 320x200 displayed on 640x480 screen, I tried to stretch 640x400 into 2880x2160 (Displayed on my 3840x2160) , but it stays on 16:10 . When I stretch 640x480 into 2880x2160 movies are horizontally decentralized and still, it is not proper display. It's stretched horizontally more than vertically, so I can't reach perfect ratio. Any ideas?

Also, movies starts lagging after few seconds, is it possible to fix ? I tried all renderers with no perfect result. edit: Resolved by pushing exe's affinity to all cpus

I am recording it on YT, so that's why I need ideally the best solution.

So the problem is decentralized movies and wrong aspect ratio. I can't figure it out. Maybe I'll just buy the Remaster 😀

Basically you just have to do the calculations right and find a nearby resolution...

For 3840x2160, if you divide both sides by 4, you get 960x540, which is within normal functioning parameters for the game. If you then apply the fix of multiplying the height by 5/6th, you get 960x450

So 960x450 pixel-upscaled (filter "nearest") to 3840x2160 should do the trick in your case.
