Everybody's Gone to The Rapture used the CryEngine for this realism. But I think this would look even more realistic if it's used with Unreal Engine 4.

The flag selection process was botched, so when it came time to choose, we had four, kinda poor options. When the question comes up again, hopefully they're learn from this experience.

If it comes up again. When this type of thing happens, people assume the result means that was what people wanted. Why should New Zealand vote for a new flag again when obviously they want to keep the old one? After all, that's what the people voted for.

On behave of the modding community:

 

The lay out of your NZ flag texture isn't optimized.

You do not need to draw individual stars, just draw one and lay your unwraps of the other stars on top of each other.

To deal with aliasing it is a good practice to avoid diagonal lines as well. Depending on your texture resolutions that could give some real ugly effects

You could probably reduce it all to a white and red line on a blue canvas, with some creative vertices manipulation you could just make the star a red/white square although that might create some minor distortion, but you won't know that unless you apply that to your flagpole model!

It's more a case of do you want to change to this flag, rather than do you want to change the flag at all. If they asked a referendum on whether to remove the union jack from the NZ flag, it would probably have been a resounding yes. Then once you're resigned to that change, it's easier to motivate the population to pick an alternative.

That was the intention, yes, but it doesn't matter. New Zealand isn't going to have a new vote where the flag committee actually picks good looking flags. The voting is over. This is how two-party political systems work, and 70% of the population always hates whoever is currently in charge, but because they got in with a majority vote, the assumption is that the majority approves of their views.

I like the original NZ flag style better. Who cares which Aussie or NZ flag is better, since both of them shared the same UK flag design in the top left corner. The difference is that Australia has more province territories than NZ, signifying the number of stars.

The possibility of Bernie Sanders to win against Hillary Clinton on June 7 is pretty slim, unless all voters vote for Bernie in a miracle comeback and gets all the remaining delegates to earn a presidential nomination. Some people thought the election voting is rigged.
