LOVE ace combat i was playin AC5 on the forteress in my mig-32b and flew full burn through the gate under the runway and out the other side at 1000 mph

not that you shouldn't get ace5... very good game, but it's just not a "true" simulation

 

If you don't have ace5 but have ps2, get ace4 at least. You should be able to find that for cheap price and it's still good.

Hmm then they must have misprinted the cover because my cover says 1 player and that's all it says besides the usual analog control, etc. If a game is split screen capable, it should say in the back but my copy doesn't so I assumed it's single player only.

 

I have the game, but it's been about... couple of months since I played it.

Been just over a week for me gota admit thou im pissed that everyone who plays BF2 dont wana dogfight :cry: i fly around looking for other fighter planes and just get shot at from n()bs on the ground with AA

Well I got that game a long time ago, and there isn't enough content to keep me entertained in that game for that long. The missions are great the first time, fun the next few times, but they do get old

I was freaking right, NO multiplayer mode.

 

I don't know what version you were playing Madbadger, but my Ace Combat 5 is legit USA copy and it does not have 2 players mode.

Yes I did beat all the missions. You can check other reviews out there yourself, and some of them will also mention about lack of multiplayer (while most of them simply don't even mention it at all).

 

Go to a retail store and check the back of the Ace Combat 5's case, it'll say 1 player , NOT 1-2.

 

So unless the freaking multiplayer mode is hidden and for some odd reason the publisher didn't want the buyers to know about it, it's not there.

Urgh... you can easily check it yourself when you go to a retail store but ok...

 

When the game starts it'll ask you to press the start button or it'll show its intro movie.

 

When you press the start button, it'll go into the main menu, which gives you three options--Campaign, Arcade, and Option.

 

Campaign mode is obviously all single player content as you can play through the entire campaign, check out some of the medals you can win, fly any stages once you beat the game, etc.

 

Arcade mode is also called Operation Katina(sp), and you get to use F-22 on a mindless, yet still still fun, killing spree, as the game pits you against some of the most harmless pilots to mobs of aircrafts that'll try to take you down.

 

Then there is option... you know, option.

 

NO MULTIPLAYER(which obviously means, NO VS)

on the other Ace Combat games it is like this, but when yo ubeat the campaign, it opens up a whe new menu, which includes MP or VS mode

well I beat the game and pretty much unlocked all the aircrafts... including that silly/awsome death machine with laser(yes, it shoots laser lmao). I even cleared the arcade mode once.

 

Check the back of Ace4, see if it says 1 player or 1 - 2 player split screen.

 

I'm pretty sure it'll say 1 - 2 player. Ace5 says 1 player... and 1 player means only one person can play at a given time with that single copy...

pffft its NAMCO. SONY make the arcade machines that the game also goes on NO WAY will microsoft get it. any way AC6 gona be on the PS3 im betting.
