Favorite General and why?

Nice strategy. The hardest side to win with is actually the US air force general, its too predictable a side, and thats a weakness. If you can catch yiour enemy on the ground in a hammer and anvil situation, you've won.

Well, the one thing is, the King Stealth can destroy enemy base defences (patriots, gattling cannons, and I think bunkers) with 1 aircraft, and that clears the way for auroras and F-22s. Also, if someone has 8 auroras and king raptors+stealthed commanches, it would be hard, if not impossible to come up with a big enough ground force to take out their base  And as to generals powers, 4 auroras can take care of a command center VERY easily

Predictable, but deadly :king:

The only hang up I see with the airforce general is how long it actually takes to get him going effectively. By the time you've got a load of airfields up and Chinook supply routes going properly, your opponent will have a load of tanks on their way and you'll have to expend a load of resources stopping them. Slow but methodical is the only way of describing this general.

Not neccessarily

If I can earn the 5 minute blitz award with Comanches, then the Airforce Gen has a chance here.

However, the fact that he is the airforce gen means all the ooponet does is build AA and bamo.

However, there are many little tricks that can be used, such as 1 King Raptor pwn any ground vehicle in one run ecept for overlords and maybe nuke canons. And quite possible avengers, but I havent testes that out yet.

Comanches make great hit and run on moving columns, especially when stealthed, and then theres the whole Auror blwoing tanks into hte air thing

and dont underestimate the power of the F-117. great way to waste avengers, quads, and gat tanks.

EDIT: which reminds me, counter measurs will fool avengers, I've seen it happen. that and the fact that I find very weird, avengers are practically useless against F-117s even after they have been unstealthed.

Well, I have to admit to earning the blitz award with the Air General by using the combat chinook - another underestimated weapon. 3-4 of these filled with an even mix of rangers and missile defenders will defeat nearly anything. Esepcially the GLA.

hell even a blitz with a regular chinook will do it. The never expect you to use your supply gatheres in an early attack like that.

Specially seeing as how AA is kinda hard to get in quantity early on like that

Base defenses normally suffice, and dropping off infantry results in them being ripped to piexces by basic infantry, which are easy to get on mass.

so 3 min into a game you are saying that you can have enough base defenses to cover every opening as well enough ground troops to hold off enemy rangers that have flashbangs ?

wow, thats some seriously good planning. then again, I have done it with comanches so....infantry might not help much there

(yeah yeah yeah, we know, rock, paper, scissors, dynamite, whatever)

definetly very tought to beat in the Generals chalenge (SW Gen) especially because of Island hoping

however, due to lack of conventional artilley and armor, attacking with the SW Gen may be somewhat difficult.

May I suggest an alliance

SW Gen provided def for all allies, Air Force Gen provided massive airstrikes, and/or tank/inf/toxin/stealth/demo (take your pic) provides attack and recon forces

yes that would work....but as with any general strategy can clear the way to victory...so i hope everyone doesn't just stick with the familiar...It's best to be jack of all trades than master of something....

until the master shows up and pwns you.

There are too many problems with being Leang.

1: You cant be her online

2: Space-its limited

3: money, you dont start with more $$ than anybody else.

4: Time-takes 3X as long ot tech up, cause she got 3 techs to build on, also 3X as expensive

Oh, that's what Auroras are for

by the time you have auroras they have tanks at your front door and demo trucks in your mailbox

I think that the toxin general is the best.

Because Dr. Thrax's Voice(in general challenge) is COOL 8)

And Toxin Rebels Are Dangerous Against Infantry.

He's Tanks Armed with Toxin Shells REady In the beginning.

toxins = pwned by real Tanks (i.e. China)

toxins = pwned by airforce (US)

you build helis first, then king raptors, then auroras....just in time for every phase of their attack

last i checked, tanks were half as expensive as jets and helis  (roughly speaking of course)

And you start off with $50,000 in ZH if you want  Also, commanches are only $300 more than Crusaders

Comanches are easily the best value for money in regards to units for base defence. If you space them out right and can manage your defences in such a way their priority is AA, then artillery, you've got a defence against anything.

Especially stealth commaches w/rocket pods  Just take the AA out w/Humvees+missile defenders, and the commanches are free to PWN :P

Stealth Comanches can normally do it on their own unless you have a wry human player using the wonderful tech upgrades available to each side. These units though, normally mean you have THE assault for base destroying coming, so don't be dishearated if you lose.

Pff....take out avengers w/auroras, then your commaches, King Raptors, and tomahawks can dominate their tanks, infantry and artillery  UNSTOPPABLE DEFENSE

then, with your MOAB/A-10s and F-117s, blow a hole in their defenses, giving a clear strike path into their base for the Auroras and King Raptor. Once they're done, send in your tomahawks and commanches, and they're done for  UNSTOPPABLE OFFENSE

Any questions???

No, but here's something that will mess those King Raptors up: Gattling Tanks, Helixes with Gattling Cannons, and Overlords with Gattling Cannons.

See, you move them -away- from the MOAB/A-10 strike area, then move them in afterwards. :P  Pwnage.

Tsk, tsk, Acerz. Read my post. I said to use the MOAB and/or A-10s to blow a hole in their defences....and also, auroras and king raptors launch at the same time  raptors take out aircraft and auroras take out overlords  no losses for me :P

Of course, if the aircraft are coming back from strikes, which means that force is your last hope :D Then my 6-9 stealth commanches aid my base defenses+tomahawks

Any more questions? :P
